| O&A Board Regular Registered: Nov. 00 | Actually, the sports curse isn't really over. Opie wanted the Yankees to lose, but he also stated that Randy Johnson always chokes in the playoffs. The Diamondbacks won every game against the Yankees that Johnson pitched in. So the two curses were working simultaneously. The Yankees would have won game 7 if Johnson didn't come in (remember, the Yanks were up 2-1 at that point). So the sports curse remains in full effect. I just thank God that the Yankees lost. | ||||

I am not sure if the Yankees will be back next year or not, but I am positive the Diamondbacks are a one-shot deal. As a Yankee fan, I took my cap off to the D-Backs and clapped like a slack-jawed Guiliani did last night. They took it from the world champs. Hey, at least the Giants and Jets got off the schnide! The same D-backs who: Fans wouldn't even sell out a playoff game The same fans who hold up sighs for "greg counsel" play in a mini-mall have a pitcher in schilling and a manager in brenly who don't even know baseball - getting pissed at a guy who broke up a no hitter with a bunt - it brought the tying run to the plate you asses! Owned by that deek colengelo who insulted the whole city of NY by playing NY,NY followed by an explosion sound into "celebration" Does not have one single farmhand in their lineup - all players heisted from other teams - and people accuse the Yankees of buying rings.. | Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | Here's another fluke that Roid Rage touched on, only one team (Buffalo) thats in syndicated cities lost yesterday, excluding Dallas and Cleveland and Seattle, cause they played NY Giants and Chicago and the Redskins respectfully, but i think that those teams did cover the spreads. not sure though. So that means that the jinx isn't over, cause then Chi town and Cleveland and Seattle would've had to cover the spreads and Buffalo should've won. Unless someone can find a fault in this poorly thought and reaching theory. *Edit* : Just thought of something, what if the Sport's curse is over, but Opie can no longer guess ages by way of the taint?
