| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I think the problem is this guy is trying to interpret rules. About a week ago he dumped out of something that seemed to be a Howie reference. Opie flipped then too, and brought up how everything was supposed to have changed since new contract. Since they've mentioned Howie before & after, I figure it was the dump guy making his own judgement or lack thereof. too bad they had to stop posting the dump sheet on Foundry. | Hanger-On Registered: Nov. 00 | Look, the person who dumps out of the show is doing a very difficult. A show like the Opie and Anthony show should be OFF the air according to current FCC guidelines. The fact that Howard, O&A, and shows of that nature have not been removed from the airwaves is nothing short of amazing. The 'dump guys' need to make jusdgement calls on a daily basis according to the Bible-sized set of rules set forth by the FCC...which do change regularly. | ||||

Morning shows on Infinity (Imus, Coward) are allowed to (in proper context) say words like asshole, clitoris, tits, and masturbate. It's amazing O & A are allowed to put on as good a show as they do with such limited freedoms of speech. Certainly there are conservative dicks who hate all "shock jock" shows and report everything they hear to Federal Communications yet nothing happens. Something as innocent as "butt sex" isn't going to hurt. Fellow "dump guy" was just afraid of losing his job. I think after Opie gets done with Ken Stevens on Thursday he may just lose it anyway. | Psychopath Registered: Jul. 00 | I didn't even realize that anything had been dumped, the bit was still killer. That being said, how many times have they played the butt sex clip in the past year? I understand syndication changed the game, if I recall correctly, Stern had more complaints in a few months in Philly than he did in the years he did radio in New York, but this is a different time and I don't think butt sex is a top priority w/ our government right now. Well, people saying butt sex on the radio isn't a top priority. By the way, Imus and Stern don't get away w/ nearly as much as O & A and I hope it stays that way. I don't think O & A will sit and accept the butchering of their show like Howard did. Howard whines about it, but signs a new contract w/o loosening the reigns Infinity put on him. | ||||
