Hanger-On Registered: Dec. 01	Hey guys, I'm a listener from Buffalo, and have been messing around with this 3D "ActiveWorlds" software and have been building things. I built a symbolic replica of the Twin Towers, and recently decided to build a virtual "Club Stinky" so people can hang out at during the show. It's only in the beginning stages, but check it out! Here are the directions: You can download the free software at... ActiveWorlds.com Then click on the "download the free software" link then click on the "Active Worlds Plug-in 3.2" link to download the software. Then once you fire up the software you will login as a "tourist" then click on the "Teleport" option in the above pull down menu and drag it down to the "To..." option. In the category of "World" type in "aw" (get rid of that "gate" word) In the category of "Coordinates:" type in 911s 911e so it should look like this.... World: aw Coordinates: 911s 911e (Once you get there take the Beer shaped elevator to the first observation deck) I've attached an image file that will help explain it. Jeff seems to think most of you members will not be able to figure these directions out. -Paul from Buffalo

Thinking of it as a three dimensional web page, I want to make it a place people can go to access the most recent O&A material quickly and easily. A friend of mine who is a MAC head, uses some kind of "Pseudo-Windows" sofware that may help you do it. As far as finding the "free software", go right to this link... http://www.activeworlds.com/products/download.asp ...to the "download" section of the site, where you will read this... Downloads Activeworlds Plug-in Minimum System Requirements: Pentium CPU 200mhz or equivalent 64MB RAM Microsoft Windows (95, 98, Me, NT4, 2000, or XP) DirectX 3.0 However, for the best possible experience in Active Worlds we recommend the following minimum: Pentium II CPU 300mhz or equivalent 128MB RAM Microsoft Windows 98, Me, or 2000 DirectX 8.0 or later Windows Media Player 6.4 or later 3D accelerated video card with at least 8MB and the latest drivers You can click the picture above to auto-launch into the Activeworlds Universe. For those who prefer to download the plug-in and install it from their computer click the link below. ActiveWorlds Plug-in 3.2 Or just click the above link to bring the program right to your hard drive. I don't know how to simplify it any more than that!?!
