They just kept harping on it. Finally someone came in and said that Don and Mike had done some contest where everyone just drank water until they puked. I remember the guys talking about how stupid an idea that is, and did a whole bit about cheesy radio bits like that. Now, here they are..... I KNOW (as my previous post stated) that the guys have shit on this exact same form or radio less than a few months ago. I understand and congratulate the guys for wanting to come up with ideas that will allow them to interact with their listeners more than Stern. But the vast majority of the contests are just really really bad radio. People puking, getting kicked in the nuts, etc just don't translate well to radio. Even though I didn't hear the contest I have heard a few of the bits such as puking, peeing, etc. and I didn't really find them all that great. They just didn't appeal to me. I do in joy a bunch of the bits but contests like these just never really struck a cord in myself. I'm not going to change my opinion (agian) that it was because i was having a bad day or anything. Simply, I just wasn't all that interested. I'm sure it was enjoyable in studio and to some of the listeners but not everything will please everybody.
