Without getting into a huge flame war, how come O&A can't use the type of language that Howard Stern uses? Both shows are run under Infinity Broadcasting and subject to the same FCC regulations. What's going on?

Feel like clarifying the exact "type of language" that you are referring to? I don't know any words or phrases they can't use that Big Bird can . . .

if it is diffrent languge then its probibly that they are at diffretn times becose the little kiddies are asleep or at school by that time. And by the time o&a are on the little rascels(nudge nudge) are back from school. and yes i am in that group in what you call little kiddies.

WaterBottle2, I listen to and enjoy both shows…..so IMO O&A are more familiar with the kings English. Just today they scorned someone with the term “jizz cloth”….plus I’ve heard sh!t countless times by callers…..this is not a complaint just an observation. For political reasons the FCC is much harsher with bHoward …..btw even Bob & Tom callers get away with saying sh!t…heard it just this morning just before the sports seg.

Here's an example: about 2 months ago, on a day that Radio Edit had on a woman who was queefing (wonder where he got that idea? :confused: ), the word "penis" came on the air a few times. I know O&A can't use that word, even in a medical context.

Roid Rage has good example there. For some reason they never say penis, vagina, anal or things like that. I remember one show where O&A had some guys throwing cherries at a girls poon. But they kept looking for ways to describe what they had done to the area. If Howard Stern had something like that, I'm sure he would have said "There is a target drawn around her vagina.".

Even when describing sex acts, O&A always infer anal, rather than say it. A lot of times they even make reference to how they should describe something so the censors don't dump them.

Again, I'm not bashing either show, I'm just wondering why one show can say this, while it appears as if the other can't.

I am by no means a Stern fan. Ive listened here and there over the years, and even I could tell you, hes been doing that for years. Little shit like that is no big deal, it's the big things that really matter. Like other dj's claiming WOW.

Number 1: NO ONE GETS AWAY WITH "SHIT". If it gets through, the dump guy missed it and the show can be fined. That said, I listen daily and have never heard it get through, as far as I remember.

Number 2: You CAN say penis, most of the time. The key word is CONTEXT, in many many cases. You can't put a penis anywhere. But people can have penises. And even have large penises. If you try to play the song "Enormous Penis", thats alright, but not after a few times the title is repeated. Repetition can be a problem for some reason. That time on O&A, btw, the dump guy just didn't know what was and wasn't allowed.
