They had a WNBC newsguy with O+A at 30 ROCK and the head of NBC sports was also mentioned. Lets not put the head of Vince on a stake yet. The XFL is a joint project of the WWF and NBC. So Vince could be accurate.  | ||||

Either way, for whatever reason, he did deny its existence and his involvement in anything like it. And for the record, Costas likened the show to, if I may paraphrase, a "ludicrous waste of a show", or something like that. I know its easy to bash Vince on the gameday deal, but I have to admit, he brought up a lot of good points regarding WWF programming (don't like it, change the channel), and even acknowledged that the XFL is in need of changes, and stood by the fact that he has even made a few to date. And there was one particular point that he made that I had to agree with - he is a businessman, and good businessmen take risks - I have always stood behind that belief, whether its business or personal - life is a crap shoot, and the only way to get anything out of it is to roll the dice. if you missed the show, definitely try to see/tape the repeat - just seeing Vince look like he wanted to Rip Costas' head off was entertaining in and of itself!
