| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | What a bunch of losers these people are. Yes, I want to see the movie as it looks much better than the suckfest Phantom Menace. The most I will do is go early in the day on Saturday of the weekend it comes out, Get tickets for the night show and show up a half hour early before the movie starts. They should let Jim Norton ruin it for everybody this time. ‘STAR WARS' SET FOR ITS QUEUE By BILL HOFFMANN -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- April 18, 2002 -- Hundreds of rabid sci-fi fans itching to see the new "Star Wars" flick will begin camping outside the Ziegfeld Theater next week, almost 20 days before the movie opens. The line will begin forming at 11 a.m. April 27 and participants will bring sleeping bags, lawn chairs, radios and coolers to help them through - gulp - 445 hours of waiting. "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones" opens May 16. The camp-out is being organized by NYLine (nyline.org), a nonprofit group raising money from participants and passers-by for the Starlight Children's Foundation, which helps seriously ill kids. Two years ago at this time I couldn't wait to see the Phantom Menace. It was such a disappointment that I can wait a few days to check out Attack of the Clones. If I can see it at midnight the day it's released I will be there, I did it for Lord of the Rings, if I can do it for Spider-Man I'd do it too. But if getting a ticket requires me to do any more than walking in and purchasing it, fuck it, it's just a movie. It's not important. | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | I have to agree with KDM, I HATE!!!!! CGI. I prefer models so much more, yes you can do more with CGI but I feel as if models gives it far more of a 'real' feel and look. For example look at model Jabba and the CGI Jabba (not from the re-release 'whateva I do what I want!!' but from Menace) where it was accustomed for a CGI character. He looked like a blotch on the screen. Jedi, for all its failings, had Jabba looking awesome. The drool, the puss, the monstrousness of him can NEVER be replicated with computers.
