I see that an alt.fan.opie-anthony newsgroup has been created. But my servers don't carry it and I don't see any messages being posted when I look it up on Google. What gives? Is it brand new?

I looked on groups.google.com and on my newsserver (Cablevision NJ), and the group is not there.

There was some discussion going back to 1999 in us.config about creating the group, but the poor soul got flamed by the USENET elders.

What makes you think that the group was created?
