| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01  | Okay, here's the deal people. These Don & Mike threads have gotten way too far out of hand the past few days. Now granted they have slowed down, but I attribute that to the 3 day weekend. I fully expect this war between D&M and O&A to pick up on Tuesday right where it left off and with that a new influx of threads all on the same subject. No more we say! I can forgive the newbies for not knowing any better, but more is expected from the "vets". You complain about all the new threads, yet you do the same exact thing. Lead by example and maybe this wouldn't be such a problem. That is why this is being created, the Official O&A vs D&M thread. Any, and ALL posts regarding this war or Don & Mike in general should be placed here. No exceptions! If we see any new threads started on the subject, they will be locked, no questions asked. Also, all the old threads will be locked immediately so they can begin to die off and disappear. General Discussion is a fucking mess right now and we need to clean it up and bring back some organization to this forum. Please, let's all work together here to make this a better and saner place to post. Thank you for your time and post away people.

| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 01 | You know, it was okay for Don and Mike to take lighthearted pot shots at O&A in the beginning-- I remember Anthony saying how everyone should give the show a chance and how he couldn't get out of his truck one night because he wanted to hear what Don and Mike were saying... then Don and Mike really take a nasty swing at O&A a few months back and then it generates to what we heard last week-- downright abusive and nasty! The Gregg and Acne show??! I couldn't believe my ears with that stupidity. Two days of battle. Unreal. I hope O&A respond tomorrow with guns blazing and finally get this to rest. | Psychopath Registered: Jan. 02 | If I remember correctlly, the real reason any animosity began, is because Don and Mike were pissed at the huge contract O&A got, and they took a few shots at them on their show ( I believe the phrase "Flavor of the Month" was used, funny, that was how long ago?) and then O&A took a few shots at them too... I do wish D&M would just get over it....O&A tried to support them in the start, they talked up their show on theirs and even had a few on-air interviews with D&M, hoping to expose them to their audience. I hope O&A come on and say nothing...Just go about doing their normal show and act like nothing has happened, that will do so much more damage to D&M than spending most of their show berating them  Trust Me! | ||||

Example: For years they used to claim that the overall rating, known as "the beauty contest" was unimportant, and that advertisers didn't care about it. That's because the black stations in DC would always beat them in that rating. They would always say, "we're looking for the male demo". Now they're trying to use the "beauty contest rating to say O & A are unsuccesful in DC. They were also talking about advertisers, funny how I hear the same commercials on both shows. Lying pricks.
