| Hanger-On Registered: Feb. 02 | Norton's brain is infected w/ 50,000 yr old spores from his Mesozoic NJ apartment. Sabbath never had broad-based appeal like the 'legendary' rock artists (e.g., Pink Floyd, Doors, Stones, Beatles, Who, Zeppelin, Clapton, VanHalen, Police, Aerosmith)--they were/are a thrash metal band, period. Norton is a pea-brained, sightless worm, like those in his sock drawer. His musical knowledge is but one grain of sand compared to all the beaches on the earth. Just because he's an Ozzie fanatic, he should be the music critic for major syndicated FM radio? His opinions are purely personal, and his arguments ad hominem--completely devoid of any rational basis for why music should/should not be appreciated. He should stick to his angry Don Rickles rip-off comedy. Yep, nobody really invents NEW things, they just re-hash/re-package old stuff--whether they know it or not. Bitch slaps to you too, O & A. | Psychopath Registered: Mar. 02 | First off I think that some of the funniest parts of the show are when Norton tries to defend Black Sabbath/Ozzy. Even though I am a Black Sabboth fan, I dont even think some of Black Sabbath's former roadies would consider defending Sabbath the way that Norton does on a daily basis. I just find it funny that someone that can list yellow disicpline with black hookers as one of his defining traits can also show so much devotion to a band. | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 02 | I am not a regular poster here, but I have been a loyal listener to O&A since the beginning. It is frustrating to watch people bash them when they are not giving them the perfect radio they expect. Let's see any of you critics put on 4 hours of radio 5 days a week, and have every minute be a riot for all. Every minute can not be to every person's standards. Norton is a great addition to the guys; albeit he is demented. Some of the funniest stuff is when he goes on his retarded tirades....like Sabbath. In his defense, he did not bring up the topic yesterday...he was jabbed at by one of the guys and he snapped to defend his idols. He did what any fan would do; however he did go overboard. NORTON - Led Zeppelin = Overrated? Whatever you are smoking, please share with the rest of us. As for Opie not liking Norton; why on earth would you think that. Can't you see that Opie respects Norton as a comedian and a talent, and knows how to push his buttons to get those great reactions from him? Opie may go over the top, but lets face it...that is what we all want to hear; nobody wants to hear the nice Opie. What makes Opie is his ability to piss people off to get awesome reactions out of them. O&A, and Norton are awesome radio for NYC and the country. Granted they are not perfect 100% of the time, but who the hell is. A true fan sticks with the good and the bad; and a true O&A fan knows that O&A always figure their way out. It is easy to be a fair weather fan, but the real fans support them no matter what they do.
