| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | This was interesting. I thought this belonged in General Discussion instead of Wrestling since it dealt directly with the show. Thanks to Anthony Michalski and 1Wrestling.com On today's Opie and Anthony show from New York City, the hosts were talking about Howard Stern possibly having Vince McMahon on his show this week. Opie and Anthony have plugged and pushed the WWF and the XFL more than anyone in New York and they felt and feel that the are getting the shaft from the WWF, since they have a rivalry with Stern. They said that they spoke with a WWF publicist, who would not come on the air, and he said that scheduling might be a problem with Vince coming on their show. They are located right down the street from Stern and wanted to know why Vince couldn't stop by. After a few non-answers from Vince's PR man, Opie and Anthony told him and the WWF should not to send anyone down to their show (Buh Buh Ray Dudley was scheduled to be on Friday) and to cancel any further visits from wrestlers until they can talk to Vince or have him on their show. The reason for Opie and Anthony's dismay with the WWF is that they help the WWF in the best way they can and they feel that they never get any respect from the them. While Vince and Steve Austin go on the Stern show, Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien, they get the lower card guys on their show. Teens, making the world a better place to live in. | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 |  Our boys took the bull by the horns yesterday when Vince called in. However, we can't fault Vince for going on Howard, at least not until the O&A show is national. Local exposure is great, but the bottom line is, by going on Howard, Vince gets national radio and TV coverage. | ||||

They should have stuck w/ the first moratorium on wrestling b/c wrestling (even WWF) has become pretty lame at this point. It's lame that O/A have to feel like they are in Howie's shadow. I can imagine that Hollywood Howard tries to stop people from going on O/A, and that totally suhuhuhucks. Didn't old Scotso used to use that technique on Howard? Josh  | ||||

I can think of about 50 reasons I listen, and NONE of it has anything to do with ANY asshole celeb, mostly because after listening to this type of radio long enough, as a rule, there are no alliances, friendships, etc. The guests are looking for plugs, they don't give a fuck who plugs their shit.
