| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01  | I just heard about another high school shooting in Cali'. I'm begining to think Dice could be right. (Quick check outside for flying pigs) These kids (the non-suicidal ones anyway) would think twice if they had the fear of being shot themselves. They don't really know the pain (physical or mental) of the victims. | ||||

| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | I have to agree. People argue that the death penalty doesn't deter crime- why? BECAUSE YOU DON'T FUCKING SEE IT! It's like they just go bye bye. Are they dead? Are they in prison? are they in witness protection? Who knows! If they televised the deaths of these bastards. Showed the actual consequence of death. Show them die, then maybe, just maybe it would work. If you show in living color death, real death, that's when you'll see some changes. Most of these kids that have shot up other kids have never klled anyone before, so they have no real perception until its done. Plus, punishments need to be stricter and enforced! None of this psyche evalutaion/rehab bullshit - do the crime, do the time, pay the price - whether you're 13 or 50 years old. Fear is the ultimate form of control. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I was thinking the same thing...I turned on the t.v. and saw the that there was another shooting and immediately I thought that Dice could actually be right. In all seriousness, look at other countries where punishment is more severe, the crime rate is much smaller. Remember the American who got cained in Singapore? Maybe if these kids knew that if they shot up their school that they would be shot up themselves, they would think twice before going on a shooting spree. | ||||

But, I do think parents should be allowed to discipline their damn kids without Deyfus showing up at their door. These fucking kids have no fear of the consequences for their actions...
