| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70  | I am a huge beatles fan and this is a treat for me that pete is on the show. But this is a man who was replced mere days before the beatles cut love me do. He missed out on history but ofcourse because pete best couldn't do a drum roll let alone keep a back beat. Not that Ringo was that much better, but imagine missing out on history and now he has to sit with lady di and marion to do a show he doesn't know about. Poor poor poor pete best take a drum stick and shove it in her heart. | Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | I am a HUGE Beatles fan. I am actually in the process of reading the Anthology Book. From what I've read, the "real" reason Ringo was favored, is that he was in a "professional" band (compared to the way the Beatles were in the club days) called "Rory Storm & The Hurricanes". They had matching suits and a huge following. The Beatles thought they would have an easier time and a better chance of getting noticed because they had a well-known person in their band. On a side note: Rory Storm (and his mother) committed suicide (after Ringo left the band).  | ||||
