Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01	i have only tried weed once and i was totally hammered on liquor when i did it so i dont think i can answer this question accurately since i dont know what it feelis like to be stoned.....i love being drunk as hell though.... weed just isnt for me. Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00	One reason that there is so much hype, especially for younger people, is because it is illegal. I smoked like a fiend for years but I kind of grew out of it. Hanger-On Registered: Nov. 00	This whole Medical Chronic is nothing but HYPE. Big Brother rarely says they are wrong. Look at Prohibition. it tried it and it just got worse. Then they realized the mistake and took it back. ANYWAYS... Back to chronic. You do nto want it legalized cause #1 you how much they will tax you up the ass for it? You are better off growing your own stuff in your CLoset. I would not mind the Legalization. Look at Amsterdamn. Protitution and Chronic is legal. It shows you how it can work if you do it correctly. O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	ok, it's been a looooong time since i took criminology in high school, but i'll see what i can remember. i think marijuana was made illegal in the 30's, the biggest reason being the propaganda, like the movie "reefer madness" which you must rent if you haven't seen it, it's ridiculously funny. anyway, the biggest travesty is that they put it in the highest category, saying that it didn't have any medicinal value. even though they were still trying to find medical uses for coke and heroin. i think this is part of the reason that there is such a problem with making it legal. just because it was decided so long ago and written into law there is more resistance to legalization, even though it's since been proven to be a very useful drug. the stupid thing is, is that research has been done to make a pill from hemp with the medicinal benefits but without causing a high. ok, i don't know how much of that is still relevent but that's what i remember. anyway, i don't think there really is a reason not to legalize it, it's just a political thing. If it is going to make you fell better then who is the Govt. to say that you can't It was made illegal for 2 reasons. 1 Racism, it was considered the black man's drug and people didn't want it infecting their white all american kids. 2 is really good, companies like Dupont saw hemp as a threat to their emerging plastics business and lobbied to have it outlawed. O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01	Actually the main proponents of banning it were because of racism towards mexicans. In the 20s they came over when the economy was good and there was no problem. O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01	There are a lot of brilliant points made here. Hahahahahahahahahahaha If I cared, I'd research the facts and post them, but I don't so I won't! If you care look it up yourself! If it's legalized, it's gonna get taxed out the ass and you're gonna get nothing but dirt with stems and seeds. I say keep it illegal and grow the KIND BUDS! It's as easy to obtain as cigaretes anyway. So why "roooin" a good thing just by making it easier to get?

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00	I know its an old arguement, but weed is so much safer then alcohol its ridiculous. Up until last year 23y/o, I never smoked pot by itself I always did it while drinking. I've gotta tell ya, its way better then being drunk. You don't puke, you don't get beligerent, you drive safely. Hell, this stuff should be mandatory.
