| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01  | Sorry guys. I had to reduce the application and timeout values on both Foundry and Opieanthony.com. What does this mean? Upon logging in, you have ten minutes before your you have to log in again. If you are inactive for more than five minutes, you have to log in again. This will reduce the amount of active sessions, thus reducing server load. This is an absolute necessity at this point. It seems the load on both sites have gone far beyond my expectations. We have truly reached the limit of what Cold Fusion 4.5 can handle, performance wise. Perhaps version 5.0 will feature a more robust processing engine. Hopefully our ISP will upgrade (wink wink, nudge nudge.) I'm sorry, but you're just going to have to deal with logging in every so often. Will it be an inconvenience, yes, but just remember both services are still free, and logging in takes the most of five seconds. If you're planning your FU already, please be aware that complaining about the site and its functionality will just make you look like a tool. Only in this day and age would a person complain about having to move his mouse around more than necessary. I'll be watching for them though, and I will most assuredly respond in the resoundingly negative accompanied with my usual repetoire of colorful metaphors. Don't defile this thread. Do any of the changes end up making some computers/browsers unable to access Opieanthony.com because this it's taken me three computers to finally get onto Opieanthony.com.
