| Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00  | Ok here's the scoop: I am leaving for San Jose on Thursday night. I have someone who is looking after my apartment while I am gone, and I am leaving him detailed instructions as to how to run the feed and the uploads. But because of his schedule, he won't be able to record and upload Ron & Fez. If anyone wants to pick up encoding the show it would be much appreciated. I know there are people downloading the file so they can run a Ron & Fez replay feed. If anyone else wants to upload the show, I recommend using total recorder and then downloading the blade and lame .dll files. I record them at 24kBit/s, 22,050 Hz mono. The file usually is about 43 Megs in all. Hopefully my friend does not run into any problems encoding the show, but just in case I was wondering if someone could encode Thursday's show just in case. I'll get to listen to the San Francisco station, and who knows? Maybe I'll like cali and have to move out there and then set up another out of town SU feed. Well, I don't want to get too ahead of myself here. If anyone has any questions feel free to E-Mail Me  More feeds are more gooder! | Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | Alittle update on this whole sblueman situation.... As i promised sblueman before, i will take over the encoding of the shows and uploading while he's gone. But as of now, i am still waiting for my audio cable that i need to record the show. They say they'll ship in 3-6 days, but what do u know! THEY LIE! Ugh, so i kinda took a backup plan to all that, the night right after i ordered the first cable from one site (cdw.com, you peice of shit site), i placed another order straight from the belkin company website. I am REALLY hoping the order comes through on one of the cables in time, and gets shipped to me before thursday. Let's say that the cables doesn't come in by thursday. I will be forced to record the shows from one of the live feeds (sblueman, chuck's or impactradio) I would probably say impactradio's feed would be the one i settle on. One down side to that, no live reads b/c he runs his feeds from another state. Sorry people. We'll see how everything works out.  | ||||

If it's a feed -- here's how I would do it -- set up a shoutcast server on your PC ... and set it up to save the broadcasts ... it'll record whatever you're playing in Winamp... | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jul. 00 | TrAnCeFoRcE: Belkin doesn't own the exclusive rights to audio cable... You can pick them up just about anywhere. Radio Shack, Circuit City, etc. I've even seen them in the electronics dept. at Target & Walmart. If you're really in a jam & feelin' McGyver-ish... You could make your own... | Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | Just got home from work.... Checked my computer to see if the show came out alright. It didn't. The live stream got cut off at the 71 minutes mark. Ugh, my computer suck.... I'm sorry about this people, I'm hoping for better luck tomorrow. PS. I'm still going to upload whatever i got today onto the FTP. I think it's a "worst of" show today, so it's not as big of a deal. But if you want today's show in whole, you can probably beg chuck to upload it at the end of the week. [sigh] i'm done, no more...... [sigh] Sorry sblueman, and other SU fans As you figured by now, the show got cut off again (just like yesterday.... see a pattern here?) Hopefully the cable comes in the mail this weekend, and i can go back to recording the WHOLE show. If you're looking for today's show, I think M-ACE have a copy of the whole show. He'll probably upload it to the FTP later on. | ||||

Also, why doesn't CHUCK ever upload to the FTP? Maybe he doesn't record the shows he plays? I dunno. Now, why don't I ever record the show and upload it? Good question. Unfortunately, I live in the Islip area and my reception of 102.7 is marred by those tools at B-103. Now , if you don't mind one of Ants rants about Ashley Olsen being interrupted by "Big Girls Don't Cry", I'd try it. But let's face it, oldies and O&A don't mix....damn it all to hell!!!!!! | Psychopath Registered: Aug. 00 | I do not upload that often because I am on a DIALUP connection... so a 4 hour show will take ...... 4 HOURS to upload... tieing up my connection for the rest of the night.. I keep about the last 2 or 3 weeks worth of shows ... if a show is needed -- I try to upload it ...
