| Hanger-On Registered: Sep. 01  | Ok guys i have set up a ftp site for all to enjoy but a few notes first. We need uploads, so if anyone has any COMPLETE shows from this week regarding any of Opie/Ron/Loveline and/or whatever else you can think of please upload them first before downloading anything, Files will rotate on a weekly basis so please keep the new stuff coming! I really would appreciate any and all radio uploads as well as misc clips! If anyone has any requests for anything that was on the site before but has since gone, please put it in the requests folder! Any other questions/comments/concerns please msg me here. Please put ALL uploads in the uploads folder only, and as new files are complete i will move them to the right folder! Once again, weekly uploads only so start with this monday's shows! | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I've got a few R&F shows from this week I can upload, as well as a TON of O&A shows from months past (most off of Rotty's old FTP). I'll hold off on the old stuff until we see how this site holds up. Got plenty of PrOn as well, small to large files - again, will hold off until Jez gives the green light. Jezhead - very cool of you to offer up some FTP space, thanks!  JackDan1974 is taking classes in board behavior - please forward all problems/complaints you might have of him to my attention. Just put whatever into the Uploads folder and i'll move them to the correct place daily :) Anything new this week that you guys have, just up it and we'll take it from there, what other radio shows and stuff you have access to anyway? thanks Jezhead p.s. I just got my DSL (don't know for how long though), anybody want to help me and tell me how to set up and FTP server or point me to where? Get in trouble?.... I applaud your efforts (if genuine), but there's a funny little tickle in the back of my mind about a new person who comes on offering an FTP site and getting a lot of folks' information (Tracing an IP back isn't impossible, you know). I hope I'm wrong, but this all seems a little too......convenient, you know? Okay, I'll say it. A trap. I hope I'm wrong. I hope you're just a REALLY fervent fan. If so, accept my apologies. And there are at least a week's worth of O&A uploaded to his FTP. I will probably stop after today's show, and see the general response from everyone. If everyone loves this new FTP, i'll continue my uploading with older shows i have on my HD.... If not, well, let's hope there's no negative response at all.... And the issue about adopting you? well, i would love to adopt someone, but that would mean too much work for me. LoL, so no thanx. But if you just want to gain access to mulligan's FTP, you don't need me for that. Like it was mentioned previously, the only person that can and will give you access, is mulligan himself. No one else has the power or the right to do otherwise. I hope that was helpful, and best of luck to the FTP... let's hope it'll work out for everyone. | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Sep. 01 | I think the person that should be worried the most out of all this is me, i'm the one giving out my ftp info heheh, i guess only time will show that i'm cool and not some narc of whatever. I've been collecting Stern for the last 2 years so i consider myself i radio collecting junkey heheh. Anyways, tranceforce, the reason why i asked if you would adopt me was cause mulligan said i would need someone to adopt me in order to get added to his ftp, and i have no idea what that intails heh, anyway, time will show you guys, i'm just a fan. thanks | ||||

I'll try downloading a file or two and then I'll come back and report. So far, the uploads are going smooth and fairly quick. I use streambox so encoding off a site isn't a problem :) Basically any kind of talk shows or where people call in and stuff, i'd be interested in :) let me know guys! thanks | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | OK, I upped Mon-Thurs. Ron & Fez, and Im dl'ing one of the LL shows. The download seems a bit slow, but I'm thinking there are a lot of people accessing the FTP since the access info is posted (might wanna take that off Jez, but thats up to you). Jez, not to sound like a broken record, but I don't see why it would be so hard for you to drop Mulligan an email. If your email provider isn't working, sign up for Opieanthony.com mail (links on every page) and use their email (it's free). Im just saying, asking on the board for other members to talk to other members just seems...weird. | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jul. 00 | Golly, aren't we a paranoid bunch? I thank you Jezhead, for the effort anyway. I don't know what you're all thinking here but, I seriously doubt that anyone would go so far as set up the ellaborate sting you're describing. It really wouldn't take that much effort to shut this whole thing down. The thing I've been worried about is upload time times 2(TWO!). Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of a back-up. I don't know about you cable modem folks but my dsl line only ups at about a fifth of my download speed. So, to have to upload everything twice would be a serious pain in barch's ass. (that went well I think. My first attempt at refering to myself in the third person on the board) Anyway, the point is... Do we need another stock pile of shows? Has there been any threat to the tried and true FTP? Not saying you shouldn't do this, Jezhead. But, maybe a little different format is in order. Just tossing my opion into the mix.
