| Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01  | Well it has been too good to be true. The FTP server has died. Both hard drives and the controller are history. I was able to recover the data from the drives so don't worry. (Yes - the porn too) I have ordered new equipment and a redundant server. They will be at my office on Friday. It will take me the weekend to get everything back up and running. Till then the server may be up but use at your own risk. Sorry for the trouble guys - This was a test box at the office and we abused it 1 too many times. It was a good year and we just landed a new account that requires us to add 2 more servers. This will allow the test box to be dedicated to the FTP. I may make an IP change but will keep you updated. All accounts have been backed up and will be restored on the new box. Hope this sheds some ligh ton why the server has been up and down over the last week. Oh - I would like like to give a big Fuck You to Tampax - After all the times I stuck up for the Sperm Burping Gutter Whore and then he goes and pulls the same shit again. Die you fuck. I just a pair of dual pII Xeons and am waiting on a board for them. I already have aquired a 4g 10k Scsi drive and a 45g RAID 5 array. I'm almost there :) I'm sure this has come up before, but if you are ever stuck for cash for bandwidth whatever put the word out. | Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | Thanks for all the posts guys - All I need is your patience untill next week. I should be able to complete all of the work before Monday. The server will be up till then and should be stable. I will keep you all up to date but again the server should be up till Friday mid morning. Then it will be down through the weekend. Monday AM it should be up in full swing. We did order new IP's so I will let you know if I decide to change the IP of the FTP server. It depends on how much am drinking when I do the work (Yes Chuck - When you own the company you can drink at work and get away with it!!) No Barch - I am not drinking coke with Pop-Rocks so stop looking at my ass | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | Good news bad news - The new drives are in and we added another server. The servers are in the process of copying eachother now. There was an IP change for the FTP server. When the server is done copying I will give the new address out. So what is the bad news? We did not have time to regen the old server so it will have another period of down time next week. When this process is complete we should have a very stable server with a back-up in place incase something happens again. Sorry for the down time guys but shit happens. I will give the new address out Sunday night and the server should be up till Friday then it will be down for the weekend again. I hope the new year has been good to everyone. | ||||
