O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	Hey guys & gals, I received an email today saying that my feed is possibly too loud and comes through distorted. Before I attempt to rectify this 'problem' I just wanted to see if any of you feel this way about my feed. So, please poste here if my feed is distorted for you or even if it's ok. Hanger-On Registered: Oct. 01	av8er, all sounds good here. you know don and mike suck when i'd rather listen to live365's "your stream is not available right now" for four hours before i checked sblue's post in here. (not that you can help it, though. i'm a little bit special. that bastard fred made me special) I've decided to increase my post count, because I'm going to quit this job anyways. Why not get some status??

Hanger-On Registered: Oct. 00	Just to keep things honest, I am the Dumbshit that brought up the problem. Since nobody else is finding this problem it is obviously somewhere in my three computers. I APOLIGIZZZZE to everyone for my error, (wherever it is) Just for information's sake: I am using Winamp on two computers and SOnique on another. I have tried Live365's player and get the same thing. None of my pot's are pegged. The equalizer settings are flat and midline. And it only happens on av8er and SBluman. Any suggestions on a remedy? The Dumbshit says thanks BTW: Thanks again to all. O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jul. 00	Well, you could start by buying some self esteem. Damn, you don't have to humiliate yourself to ask a question. We'll help. Just don't be a dick. But, seriously... You got me stumped. It's obviously not the player because you're getting the same result with multiple players. It's obviously not your sound card or speakers because you say it's only with those two feeds. I really couldn't even guess at this point. I'll get back to ya if I think of anything. But, don't hold your breathe. *Edit: Now that I've thought about it a bit... I have the opposite situation. Feeds come in a lower volume. I've been compensating by bumping the preamp. I think it's got something to do with the bit rate but, wouldn't really consider it a "problem". Sorry, this doesn't help you at all, does it? **Edit: OK, temporary fix... Load a feed. Adjust it "normal" level with EQ. Save EQ settings as "autoload preset". Psychopath Registered: Aug. 01	That is ponderous, f'n ponderous. NONE of the other feeds have this problem? Did you recently add any hardware to your network? Any software to a server? Do both of his feeds do it or just the ones off L365?

Hanger-On Registered: Feb. 02	That Live365 had me update my player and when I did I couldnt get your broadcast anymore. It says Could not listen to stream (Error Code PLA-200110) General Error The Station cannot be opened The Server may be down or broadcast may be halted select a different station I am pissed!

Psychopath Registered: Jan. 02	The only problem with Av8er radio is that not all the other feeds are as solid. (wait thats not your problem.) The volume is perfect, when i turn it up everyone in my dorm is listening to O&A whether they want to or not. Q: What does it mean to be a newbie in SU??
