| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jul. 00 | Notice to all "MODS": I'm sure no disrespect was meant by any of the previous post by my SU brothers. "The Rules" refer to the rules of the "Syndication Underground" (NOT the forum but, the actual broadcasting & receiving). And, that crack about "No Mods"... Well, you gotta admit, the SU forum has been pretty much a distant stepchild of the Opieannthony Message Board from the get go. We aren't used to having someone throw around mod status. We use more of a "Mob Justice" kinda thing in here. You prove you're not an F-tard and we all get along just fine. We're all prety much equal in here (with special privledges given to Broadcasters, of course) That being said...I hope you "MODs" will respect our pseudo sub-culture. | Psychopath Registered: Aug. 00 | This is exactly the situation of the British empire and the American colonies before the Revolution. Before the end of the seven years war, America was basically living independent of the British Empire, the only British force being the royal governors (mods). After the war (transfer of site), however, Parliament tried to assert its authority over the colonies in order to pass tax laws and gain revenue. Same thing here. The SU forum has basically been acting on its own for a long time, and now the mods are trying to show who's boss again. Well, we all know how the British-American situation ended up.........
