| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jul. 00 | Look, BawxedWine, I don't want to get into a whole big thing with you over this...but, you gotta understand that there are a lot of us who can ONLY listen via SU. Right now there are plenty of feeds availible. It hasn't always been that way. There have been more at times and there have been less. There are all kinds of reasons why a feed gets shut down. Some broacasters just get tired of listening to people bitch and complain about their feed. Some will only RE-register 20 or 30 times at the site they broadcast from. Some are SHUT DOWN as a result of anonymous tips from stern fans. It's this last one that seems most annoying, frequent and, easiest to avoid. The point is... These feeds are NOT legal. They are a direct violation of FCC law. Broadcasters are doing us a great service but, they are also breaking (special spelling just for JJ) the law. There are very few people listening via SU in the broad scope of things. A couple hundred listeners is a drop in the bucket compaired to the actual syndication of the show. But, that's how Napster started...and, if the suits can't find a way to make money off it, they will shut it down. Yes, you're right...it's not much of a secret. But, it is just hard enough to find to keep out the unwanted. When you go posting that kind of information you're pretty much giving any ambisious stern fan all the info they need to stop a (or all) feeds. This has happened. Ask around about "dabeaver". He got booted from Live365 and got all kinds of nasty letters from their management threatening all kinds of nasty stuff. Anyway, you have to read 3 or 4 posts to find a feed and how to use it, you're much less likely to do this if you're not a fan of Opie and Anthony. If all the info you need is right there on the first page…well, I'm sure you get the point. So, anyway, I don't mean to be a dick but, I'm one of those people that can ONLY listen via SU. And, if you get a feed shut down, I will be very unhappy. Long Live the "Syndication Underground" | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Oct. 00 | I live in VA for 10 months out of the year and the only way I can listen is with SU. Thanks to all the broadcasters that make this possible. I would have been pissed if I missed their last week before the syndication deal.. Hearing their voices makes me feel like part of me is still in NY. Thanks again everybody!! Damn the torpedo's, bite the bullet, go for the gusto, that's what I always say!!! Oh wait...that was someone else. Never mind. | ||||
