He post some crap, gets tooled on (rightfully so I might add) and now he wants ppl to think he meant something else. Well, it don't work. We can all read your posts. We know what you said as well as you do. If callin' me a "dickbag" helps you to sleep better at night, go right ahead. It doesn't change the fact that you're a tool. Just a general rule of thumb: Don't tell people that the service they are providing you [FREE] is not being provided to your satisfaction. If you don't like it, don't listen. Insulted both the SU FTP, and sblueman's R&F feed. Man oh man, i didn't think that was possible. Oh hey, JohnSack, i think you missed one = Chuckradio. Please share with us your valuable opinions about that too. Everyone at the SU board are just dying to read about that too. Ugh, one more thing, if you never done anything for SU, why open your big mouth and say anything at all. If you don't like it, you don't have to come here. No one is forcing you. HOWEVER, if anyone does not like the job Sbluesman, Mulligan, Trancer....everyone is doing for everyone else, I will be more than happy to go to their area and shove their 'NSync Underoo's deep in their throats choking them on their own bile! These people help hundreds....nay, thousands catch the virus daily! Anyway, I do have a suggestion. Every once in a while, we see someone ask for the addresses and all the veterans attack (sounds like a Fox special), telling them to check past messages. Now, just so I can play Devils Advocate, there are many, many, MANY messages, and it does become a chore to find the info, right? Hell, I even lost mulligans address! Maybe once in a while, someone can re-post all the current feed info? Just a thought. Sbluesman and Trance, what recorders do you use? The ones I've tried have had spotty performance at best. Clicking a button in windows NT to run an FTP server does not make you a god(actually if you are using ANY windows product to run a web or FTP server, I question your intelligence). This all started because someone wanted a R&F replay, and blueman said he wouldn't but if ANYONE wanted one, they could d/l the shows from mulligan and start one themselves. In the spirit of helping out with SU, I made the suggestion that live365 will do the replays for you, if someone was interested(because I wasn't. If I was I would have did it myself). barch and mulligan decided because they misinterpreted my post to think that I was suggesting that blueman do it, that they needed to 'handle' this 'tool'. Even when I clarified what I meant, barch decided that he knew what I meant, and that wasn't it. barch, let me know when you open that mind-reading service. If you search way back in my posts, I'm sure you'll find some where I sounded just like the rest of these "newbies". Anyway, the point is, nobody came here an expert. You hang around long enough you pick up a thing or two. There are very good reasons why the feeds aren't posted very frequently. First, and foremost, They're ILLEGAL . The easier they are to find, the easier they are to shut down. Hasn't been an issue lately...but it has in the past and, may again in the near future. The long standing "golden rule" of "SU" has been (& always will be) "IF IT AIN'T YOURS - DON'T POST IT" Everyone that shares a feed with us reads, posts and, participates here regularly. They are very capable of posting their feed info all by themselves. If they want it up here, they will put it up here. Just becaused they get tooled on on the board doesn't neccessarily mean they aren't getting help elsewhere. Maybe a few of you folks that I've e-mail explicite instructions to will back me up here? P.S. To all those who hopped aboard and backed me... THANK YOU. Wether it was out of loyalty or a keen sense of right & wrong really isn't important. You all seem to agree with me so, I WON !!!! | Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | Ok johnsack, it might not be too much trouble to setup a server in WinNT, or a FTP server to any extend. But out of all of the people at the SU board, Mulligan is the only one who went thru. the trouble of setting up one. And if you think setting up a server that runs 24/7, which can handle all the traffic and still provide great speed is easy, then you're def. wrong. It's not an easy job to provide all these things. But hey, if you think it's easy to do all that, why don't you proof us wrong and setup a better server. I promise that'll shut everyone up. But if you're not going to do anything better, don't bash the ones who can. They spend good time and money doing that. Don't like it, don't have to come here at all, and please keep these opinions to yourself. | ||||

I can't stand that self-important internet bullshit. and Trance, its actually quite easy to setup a server that is availble all the time and reliable. Unix. U-N-I-X. Set it and forget it. I wouldn't use anything made by Intel or Microsoft if you paid me. Could I set one up? But unless you know alot about computer (which i don't think alot of people do), it's not going happen. Plus you really don't see alot of UNIX home servers or UNIX home users on a daily basis.
