I'm really asking for it for posting this here, but
here it goes. Everyone is entitled to their
views, TeenWeek.
Some people feel that a military strike against
Afghanistan and others is a bad idea. I guess
I'm one of them. I think those responsible for
the tragedies of 9/11 need to be brought to
justice, but I am against an large scale military
strike. Its going to cost far to many
AMERICAN lives in the end, and hasn't there
been enough of that.

Afghanistan is responsible for the tragedies of 9/11. They have had this asshole and didn't turn him over. He was on the US most wanted list before 9/11. This fucking place need to be leveled.

I agree that Bin Laden needed to be turned over, and the Taliban missed their window. So be it, they will be dealt with. I just wonder if there is some way to target the Taliban leaders, who the people of Afghanistan hate, and spare the citizens. Probably not, and I guess its still ok to attack them, that maybe the only answer. But, what after we hit Afghanistan? The idea of "War on terrorism" is vague at best. I'm worried.

Scrapple..

come on... how many of our citizens did they care about?! No one killed was a political figure or a military person. They were ALL innocent citizens. It's sad.. but in my book right now.. it's eyes for an eye. We can't let them get away with this shit anymore!

I agree with your point, but there were many military members killed at the Pentagon...

Its pretty clear from statements made by Colin Powell and others that the "War on terrorism" is going to involve very little bombing. Kinda like the "War on drugs". Today, on Meet the Press, Colin Powell didnt rule out any options, but made it clear the US wasnt going to act unilaterally. To keep international support, the US cant bomb the hell out of every country. Hell, Powell wouldnt even say he would bomb Saddam Hussein, although he did say he might be somewhat linked to the attack. And Powell almost categorically ruled out any large scale military operations involving the bombing of several different countries. I dont think this is gonna lead to World War Three, so relax some. As for the people of Afghanistan, 2 million of them have evacuated the cities and headed over the Pakistani border. More on the way. Unless we aim for the border, I dont think were gonna kill alot of civilians since they are heading for the hills, literally.

Exactly! Do you see how unsuccessful that
has been. Because of the fucking War on
Drugs Bush offered the Taliban $43 BILLION!
And that was only about 6 months ago. He
knew damn well how vicious the Taliban was,
and because they think opium is against
Islam, they get US support.

Hey scrappleking. I'm gonna leave a philips head screwdriver under the D train track for six months, and let it corode and accumulate disease nicely.
Then i'll throw some hyrdochoric acid on your sac and the grand finale will have me grinding that same screwdriver into your urethra so solidly your anus will look like it has a midget trying to punch out of it.
YOU STUPID LIBERAL DOUCHE. ILL KEEP IT SHORT. WTC WAS BOMBED IN 1993. WE PUT UP SECURITY MEASURES TO CHECK OUT TRUCKS. OUR USS COLE WAS BOMBED, 15 DEAD, WE ISSUED A WARNING. A FUCKING JANET RENO/CLINTON WARNING!!!!!!

NOW, WE ARE GONNA BE FUCKING PEACEFUL? YOU SUGGEST NEGOTIATIONS? I DONT KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND HOW OLD YOU ARE, BUT IF SOME SERIOUS STEPS ARENT TAKEN, AND YOU DONT PUT DOWN YOUR FAGGOT LIBERAL BIBLE AND YOUR PEACE MARCH CANDLE, YOUR SON/DAUGHTER, MINE, OR YOU OR I MIGHT NOT BE HERE FOR MUCH LONGER.

violence begets violence. the taliban WANT our troops to go in. they WANT civilian muslims to die. so they can say "look at what the west does to us" and then they will justify to other nations a response. look at whats going on now, freezing assets, turing their allies against them. this is what this "war" should look like.
the way these terrorists groups get new members is they open "schools" that offer food and shelter to people who don't have shit. they get to these schools and are fed a fucked up version of islam that brainwashes them into hating America. what if we provided enough to the citizens of these third world countries that what these terrorists groups are offering them doesn't sound too good anymore. what if we get these people to say "well, America is providing for me, helping me eat, trying to get me work, i guess they're not too bad". THAT is a way to combat terrorism and prevent future attacks.
i do agree that some military actions need to be taken to bring the prepetrators of this attack to justice. but not on the scale that bush seems to be talking about. we're not going to win with traditional warfare. this is a new type of fight and just using military force is not going to do the job.
so whackbag, you can write me off as a "liberal" or write me off because of my age. you can blame clinton and the democrats. i just hope there will be no more attacks on our homeland, and if we start using military force, that is whats going to happen

"Somebody took my phone number and called Afghanistan. Afghanistan! I've never talked to anyone in Afghanistan, I don't know nobody in Afghanistan, and even if did know anyone, I wouldn't talk to that Afghan ass for three hours! I won't talk to my daddy for three hours."

Looks like money and food will not prevent them from endorsing terrorism. They don't care about the rice that we give them. They are pissed because they think we are a threat to Islam.
