Remember how they made up with Carol Miller before she left? Hopefully before Don & Mike leave, they can co-host a show with O&A and we can all listen to 4 guys bash Infinity and Howard Stern. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 00 | dragon, why is it you think Don & Mike are the ones that are leaving? personally, i think Don & Mike are taking advantage of O & A's contract negotiations to trt to coax them out. they always wanted that time slot (that was the problem before) and i don't think that's changed. i think the only reason O & A made up with them is to make management think that they can get along. i think it's all for show during these tense contract negotiations. Kinda gets you by the boo-boo, don't it? | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01 | Not to speculate, but here's my speculation. D&M want O&A's spot. O&A might be leaving to another station. D&M want to get O&A out to get their spot. So why not, if you are D&M do what you can to help get O&A out. I have never used the "&" symbol more than in this post.  | ||||

I didn't mean leaving WNEW, I meant leaving New York because when I made that post, Don and Mike where broadcasting from New York. I don't think it's much of a secret that Don & Mike want O&A's spot, but at the same time I think they want to align themselves with a show on the rise. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | My whole POV on this is that D&M don't hate O&A, but they are drooling at the fact that they could be live in NY in as little as two days. I think they made up with O&A because they want to capture some of O&A's listeners. D&M coming out of their face and saying what they said a few months ago (including Don's bad Opie impression) really showed how malicious they are and I wouldn't be surprised if O&A go up against Donand mike head to head. Why weren't O&A immediately syndicated? The answer to that lies in the listers of these shows. If you ever listen to Don and Mike, you can tell right away that every caller is totally lacking in the brain cell department And married middle aged people who are stuck in their house with their kids have no choice but listen to tom lykeis. | Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | I tried to listen to Dong&Mook last night, I really did. I figured if O&A can make peace with these two, then I could give them a shot as well. Dong Guantanemo (I know, it's Geronimo, I was just fuckin' with his name) was yakking about his personal trainer and how he has to split his training time with some woman, etc. Man, what GREAT radio. I mean, i was riveted! Yeah, right. That guy Mike has that Radio Guy laugh that Anthony always makes fun of when he does his radio guy voice. Mike will start talking and he is laughing like a hyena (hyenas, to their credit, have less grating yips than Mike does) WHILE he is talking. Sooooo f'ing fake. Two old bastards blabbing about their charmed lives at 7 to 11 PM is just not my idea of good radio. How the hell does anyone listen to them earlier in other markets? little newbie since 5-31-01 | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | Dung and Meek ARE old to me. I am 23, and O&A, despite being about 10 or so years older than me, are still young at heart. I mean, come on, they act like wordly 15 year olds, and they readily admit it. Dink and Musk are like 45 or something and act like they are in their forties. The rest of the talk shows on the station are trying to cater to the same audience O&A has, which Ron&Fez seem to be the only ones able to do (although not as successfully as O&A, but I love 'em anyway), while Dumb and Mutt seem to cater to that ever popular jet-set over 40's crowd. Maybe I am just too hard on the two bastards, but they just do NOT make me laugh. I can listen to WNEW from 12 to 7, but after that I'd have to shave the top of my head, wear loafers and panama shorts, and grow about a foot of nose/ear hair to listen to the station any longer. Maybe in 20 years I'll be boring enough to listen to these two over-the-hill felchers, but not now. That is just MY opinion of course, and I won't slam anyone for thinking different. little newbie since 5-31-01 | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Sep. 00 | Don and Mike aren't as funny as O&A or Ron and Fez, but you got to tip your hat to them for trying to be funny. Granted they are pretty old, but at least they're not a couple of bitter individuals who try to sue every listener because they were bashed. Don and Mike were smart enough to mend fances with O&A they probably have a deep respect for O&A. But hey, almost everyone will put their differences aside because of common enemies, so more power to them. Let's face it, Stern is scared of O&A. This is why he pulls the shit he does. If O&A have their way with the contracts or go to another station, we'll see the fall of another popular radio personality but it'll be in this century. The only difference between Stern and Imus is that Imus went down with dignity. Stern will go down like a bitch. If you have any complaints, please take a number. I'll settle it shortly... And I'd rather here Don call his wife on air for the 5 millionth time than have to sit through a Rock Block, or worse yet, a Retro Rock Block. As long as they stay at 7 and don't get O&A's slot its all the same to me. | ||||
