Hanger-On Registered: Jul. 01	first of all, i posted basically the same message under the topic " did anyone listen to the howard stern show tuesday morning" or something, so sorry to those of you who are reading this twice. Im a fan of both the OA show and the HS show. You guys complain so much about Howards show so obviously you listen to it. If its so bad dont tune in, thus giving him the ratings. I like the OA show better than the HS show now because its funnier but I think that the OA and other shows are similar to the HS show in that they have the same basic structure which we all know Howard invented. Im not saying OA is a complete ripoff..its not at all. How could you all say howard sucks after he was number 1 for 7 years? Maybe his time is up and there are people better than him now but he still deserves respect being the pioneer of this type of radio. Maybe im completely wrong about everything im saying but nothing else seems to make as much sense. SO PLEASE, WHEN YOU RESPOND DONT WRITE F'N STERN FAN AND SWEAR, please respond in a normal way because i just want to know what you guys think. respond with some respect rather than cursing at me and telling me im dumb

Hanger-On Registered: Jul. 01	let me add something-- why not look at it this way? -when you guys accuse howard of things your looking at the pessimistic side. think about the alternatives and you will see that you your idea is as good as any of the others(i.e his bits being real as opposed to staged) -also--please dont think im only pissed off with exclusive O and A fans that do this. die hard Howard fans are just as bad

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01	funk, It's not trash talking. It's resentment of hypocrisy. If you are a O&A listener also, Did you hear yesterday's show? Opie summed it up. They don't hate stern. They give him props. Opie has said Stern is perfect morning show, and should be leading off WNEW - all talk radio. What they don't like is being trashed. Stern made his bones being the underdog / little guy taking on Hollywood, etc. Now he is the 500 lb gorilla. He acts like he invented everything. Hello?? Before Stern was Don Imus, Rick Dees, Ernie Kovaks, Lenny Bruce, etc. Did Stern push the envelope? yes. But like the aging ballplayer, he refuses to acknowledge he has lost his fastball and maybe others are now better (or even good). As Ron said today on his show, if he said ANYONE was good, but Ron & Fez were bad (as an example), we could deal with it. But he doesn't. O&A will tell you when they pull stuff out of their ass. They are real. Maybe 10 years from now they won't be, and I'll be on some other board "enlightening" others. But now I try (in vain sometimes) to open peoples eyes here. If you are really an open minded person asking a legit question, maybe you'll understand. If not, well, that's life. O&A Board Regular Registered: May. 00	I've tried to give Howard a chance, but I just couldn't listen to a selfish, egotistical fool. Now Starr and Bucwild on Hot97 are better. What's even more interesting these two NEGROES are killing him in the 18-34 demo. I think they are up 3-4 points on him.
