| Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01  | The fucking entertainment industry in this country is fucking rediculous. My fellow anime fans may know what this one is all about. Allow me to give an example: Gundam Wing Series American DVD set are put in 10 seperate DVDs priced at $25 each. Whole set = $250 Gundam Wing Series Japanese DVD set is one (1) box with only five disks containing the SAME episodes. (Apparently, Japan can fit 10 episodes on one disk when us tard Americans can only fit 5). Total price for box set = $50 Ive noticed this is a recent trend for DVD's. They can hold a fuck load of stuff but the manufactureres only seem to fill about a fraction of it. I like DVDs as much as the next guy, but I am NOT shelling out this kind of cash for these greed whores anymore. Im goin strickly japanese dvds for anime for now. But American? Fuck you. Stop ripping us off. Ill donate the extra money to relief and help funds for the country and keep it as fucking away from you as possible. New voice actors must be cast, the master copies have to be copied and altered to fit the new dialog, and then they have to include another track for subtitles since most people lie to see the original japanese version withs subs. Also, the whole market is different. In Japan, it makes sense to sell it at a cheaper price, because anime is much more popular, so there is alot more competition. In America, where it is mostly a sub-culture, companies can gouge you because there arent alot of other options for anime out there. once demand increases, prices will drop. But Gundam sucks, get Rurouni Kenshin.
