1) I have never, EVER heard anyone use the phrase "I hope a building falls on you" in my life. So much for "used for a very long time"...

2) He was using the phrase in reference to a cop who had the AUDACITY to pull him over. Not too difficult to figure out what he was referring to.

3) I don't care much for about 60% of what Norton says, and he were to make such a statement, my reply would have been the same. Wishing a cop was buried in rubble just for doing his job is repulsive and stupid.

My only point here was I can't believe everyone is slamming this guy over a poor choice of words. I have heard that expression used by everyday people and comedians alike since I was kid. I'm assuming here but I hardly think Jam had the events of 9/11 in mind during his rant. I'm thinking he was just pissed off at his days events and was ranting...I just think it's a little harsh for everyone jumping in without knowing what Jam was thinking.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I never heard I hope a building falls on you in my life prior to or after 9/11...perhaps the only thing I've ever heard was I hope a house falls on you referring to the Wizard of Oz...but considering 9/11 it was not only a poor choice of words, but a poor choice of a person to use them on.

Almost every person on this board was in some way or another directly affected by 9/11 whether it be their own family/friends or someone else they knew losing someone....its just not funny. I can assure you if almost all of the NY area people on this board were directly affected by half the shit that Norton jokes about or wishes on people, he wouldn't be funny to them either.

ok,ok,maybe i didnt think before spoke on the building thing,i was f'n heated.i wasnt thinkin about 9/11.but that wasnt the only time a fuckin building fell ya know.i dont hope a building falls on him...maybe hell pull the wrong guy over and someone will cross his eyes for him! is that better....lol?and for all you people who sit here and judge me...fuck you ,lick my sack,fuckin bleading heart pussies! peace & love,scumbags
