Spree and Camby brought them to the finals in '98, and Grunfeld is the one who brought them on board, only to have been fired earlier that season. Granted Ewing had to go, they didn't get shit for him in return. The botched Vin Baker trade, Mark Jackson turned out to be a bust, Chris Childs schooled him and Ward last year in the first round of the playoffs, and was a major contributing factor to the Raptors winning the first round. And now this fucking debacle. It's tough being a knicks fan. Goddamn Van Gundy.. he said he left for the good of the team. Look where they are now, only having extended Chaney's stay. What a bunch of morons. I could run that team better. Not to mention the fact that they don't have a goddamn bench, a bunch of power forward wanna-be centers.. blah blah blah. I have been a lifelong knicks fan, but those fuckers are making it really tough right now to be one.

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01 | The knicks have a one dimesional player that they are paying 100 million dollars! Sweet god, screw the rest of the team, why dont you deal with that anomaly. Heres a quick overview on how the knicks could help the team: Allan Houston: Go to this guy and ask em to rework his contract to try to free up some cash. That simple...if i was the GM I wouldnt have given that twat so much in the first place. Mark Jackson: Yeah yeah yeah...we delt for him, STUPID MOVE. Childs was a good defender and enough of a bulldog to help us out...its time to say goodbye Mr. Jackson and get a player that is tougher on d. Sprewell: Lets face it...he'd be a great SG. But the guy is obviously out of position something horrible, he is getting banged and out played by the 6'6+ SF's in the league (Ie: Keith Van Horn). Try to deal him for an ACTUAL SF. Camby: Ok Mr. Twig Arms (No Not Joey) its time for your evaluation. If you didnt get injured at one point in any given season itd be a fucking miracle. Just drop the worthless sack of shit...NOW!! Kurt Thomas: One of the only knicks I STILL like...he brings about him a certain intensity that the team could really use more of from their role players. The guy is a keeper, but it wouldnt hurt em to bulk up a little more. But hey....a guy could dream..cant he?  Have a Question? Or Just wondering why I'm so angry? Knicks went a long time without a decent GM after Red Holzman retired (look up Scotty Sterling and Al Bianchi, etc.) Grunfeld was able to work around the cap to bring in some talent - Houston (the 1st time when he was worth it), spree for not much, Camby for aging Oakley, etc. Now not only do Knicks suck, they have little chance to improve. Who would have thought that the NJ Nets management would be embarrasing the Knicks.  | ||||

They can only make chinese food, polish nails and as Ant says give Yankee crankies. I guarantee this guy will be no better than Felton Spencer. Watch them, they might get the 3rd or 4th pick, and trade up to the number one by switching 1st picks and giving up Sprewell in return. Does this sound like something the Knicks would do.
