| Hanger-On Registered: Aug. 01  | I am new to this board, but I think i deserve this saying. Heres goes: at my old junior high school, i was constantly picked on by girls who were popular.Why you may ask? probably because I didn't wear old navy and shit like that, maybe I didn't have a boyfriend, or let boys touch my ass or breats, maybe because I talk in a english accent while they talk like new york ghetto kids, i will never know. I don't know why I was a target.I was kind to everyone, but they must have seen it as a weakness.but now i am on summer vacation, and going to a new school.I hope there, i will be treated with with kindness and respect.Thank you for reading, and I am glad to have joined this forum. and kim, if your reading this, AHAHA, you won't be able to put me down anymore, BITCH!I'm outta here! heehee, had to get that off my chest Its not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog. | ||||

| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | My school didn't really have cliques so that totally threw off what I thought high school would be like. I myself didn't belong to any one group and mostly stayed on my own. Of course no particular group excluded me i just preferred to be alone. The loner persona actually really does help in some cases: it makes some people afraid to pick on you (ah Columbine had some benefits), makes you interesting to others and, maybe it was just me, but I managed to ally myself with the nerds and the stoners and even the jocks. I never dressed gap, abercrombie or old navy. In fact I specifically chose not to wear gap, abercrombie or old navy and no one called me on it (that I can remember, I really can't remember much before junior year). Didn't go out of my way to look different didn't dye my hair, didn't pierce myself, didn't go goth, didn't go freak. I just went for a pretty plain look and I really didn't have trouble. God reading this is makes my high school sound like the original ending of Heathers. It wasn't heaven but groups pretty much got along. Except for the blacks who always fought other blacks.
