| O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01  | I went to Pathmark this morning to do my regular food shopping for the week. I could not believe the amount of people in there! I saw: 1. A 400 pound woman running to the bakery isle, all out of breath, yelling at her husband "If I am going to be snowed in for two days I need fuuuuuucking coooookies...." 2. Another woman, ask the butcher in the meat section..."Do you have the pre-ready meatloaf meat?" And he said "no just the chop meat you see" and she yells but "If I am going to be snowed in I need the chop meat with the seasonings in it" The poor kid looked at her and said "The seasoning isle is behind you by the damn seasonings and put them in the damn chop meat!" 3. There was no milk, no eggs, no bread and would believe this NO RAGU! They were out of ragu ! | O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01 | I agree faceman...people act like tarts all the time...but I found out why people buy all this food when they hear bad weather is coming...If your power goes out and is not restored within a certain period of time (it varies everywhere) but they will get a credit on their electricity bill for any spoiled food..but they don't have to show proof of spoiled food..only a food bill from the current week...isn't that sad...that is something I heard while waiting on line today at Pathmark..scarey what people will do for a hundred bucks or so on a light bill credit... For each strom we have had this year they interview some store owner who says that they sold out of shovels. Do people throw out their shovels once the storm is over and then realize that they need a new one for the next storm? Another idiotic thing is that people will fill up their gas tanks. They go crazy b/c their tanks are low but they are going to drive anywhere b/c they can't drive in the snow. Its F'ing ponderous. "Who is your daddy and what does he do?" | ||||

While most of us True NJ and True NY folks are just goin on with their lives, the transplants, the Bennies, and the Rubes are bugging out thinking that rthey are gonna get snowed in. I fucking hate that. The rough part is when me and The Mrs. went grocery shopping I almost got into a fist fight with a guy behind us because he was being pushy and was rushing around. I guess people are going to sit home and eat loaves of bread and just drink milk for the next 2 days.. the shelves were empty..My backup generator has 2 purposes, 1 to run the fridge to keep the beer cold, and 2, keep the puter alive :) BTW face, microwave is aimed and ready... But seriously back in 96 when that blizzard hit I was working in a supermarket the day it hit. Absolute fucking mayhem. I saw 2 grown men fist fighting over a gallon of milk and one of the guys already had 2 gallons in his wagon. Give me a fuckin break people, snow is the perfect excuse to ditch school and work. This deek grabs like 4 gallons of milk and says we could be in all wekk i hear up to 5 ft and that will be bad! I tell the guy if its 5 ft the powerlines are gonna break and ur gonna have one smelly house full of spoiled milk. He then went and got some ice, TOOL. There are such assholes when you shop, these asses from NJ, NY, and one or 2 from PA were all in the same store fighting for checkout lines, its goddamn annoying i hate the snow.
