| O&A Board Regular Registered: May. 00  | A former student with a history of disciplinary problems stabbed a dean at John Jay College of Criminal Justice on Wednesday after being told the school would not let him re-enroll, police said. Hector Ortiz, 55, the dean of students, was hospitalized in stable condition with torso and neck wounds. Charged with assault was Dabrium Jones, 29, of Queens, said police spokesman Sgt. Brian Burke. Mary Rothlein, a John Jay vice president, called the attack at the 11,000-student Manhattan campus "tragic and shocking." Jones was kicked out of school last year after harassing a professor who gave him an F on an exam, according to school records. He later was arrested for trespassing when he was discovered sitting in a classroom, Rothlein said. School officials told Jones they would consider letting him return if he could prove he completed a counseling program. He showed up at the college on Tuesday but was turned away. Jones returned Wednesday morning, this time allegedly armed with a steak knife he used to assault Ortiz in a hallway. "Clearly, he had no business being here," Rothlein said. A man that i personally know and admire, a man who has gone to great lenghts to help we when i needed it, and a all around great human being in general was stabbed in the neck. IT'S COMEDY GOLD !!! You see, the fact that i posted a FU to John Jay college, and a ex-student stabbed Mr. Ortiz makes people believe it was ME who did it! It's like a orgy of Irony! And all the people that i've been on the phone all day with, they thought it was funny too! So what he might die, the nexus of irony that lies here is too fucking great! I couldnt ask for a better set-up! Jesus fucking christ, the sheer stupidity of this site is FUCKING STAGGERING sometimes. I would have loved to see the thought process that went into this thread. I just wanted your take on it, that's all. Well after re-reading the thread I understand your tone. I was wondering if you were scarcastic or not. I guess this really hurt you personally. I deeply apologize for any hurt I caused. I'm really sorry. I didn't know this affected you closely.
