| I'm in Lyndhurst and we had people on the bridge over route 3 - children, townies, and everyone else were all over with candles. People drove by and honked their horns - even the police - it was moving.

| I was out on my porch last night with candles. I was one of only about 4 neighbors. It was fairly discouraging. Then, I drove into my down, down the main street. The street was LINED with people with candles. People were just driving up and down the road with their cars donned with flags, beeping. Singing "God Bless America" I have NEVER been more proud to live in that town. It NEVER pulls together for ANYTHING. It was the most amazing site I have ever witnessed. At the bar I work at. We had a moment of silence. Then we played the national anthem. Everyone stood up and took their hats off. Some were crying. It was just unbelievable.
I have graduated the Spitfire School of Debauchery.
Too alarming now to talk about
take your pictures down and shake it out
truth or consequence say it aloud
use that evidence race it around
There goes my hero
watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
he's ordinary
Don't the best of them bleed it out
While the rest of them peter out
Kudos my hero leaving all the best
You know my hero the one thats on

| I live right across the street from the Union Square disgusting "peace" vigil and I usually don't think we should go to war or violence unless it's absolutely necessary and you know what? It is necessary in this case. Why? This isn't communism. It's not a fight against an intangible idea that many of us don't care about. They attacked NEW YORK and THE PENTAGON. They arent' getting retalation because there is nothing we did they requires them to retaliate against!!! We didn't go there and force our ways on them, they came here and killed thousands, ruined the lives of millions. You want peace? Well sometimes the only way to get peace is with fucking bullets and bombs. They say dont' bomb, I want to know these fuckers "plans" to make up for this. Go in there and arrest Bin Laden? You go in with fucking handcuffs, you're coming home in a pine box. Two wrongs don't make a right? Well guess what, going in right now ain't a wrong.

| Wow, so it IS true, there actually are one or two left-wingers left in this country?
Ha!
We'll always have the bleeding heart do-gooders out there.
As always, they mean well, and their heart is in the right place. Hey, we are a peace-loving nation... until you try to fuck us up the ass!
No one's got a bigger cock than the U.S. of A. and we're pretty much ready to ram it up wherever we jolly well please.
Please, peaceniks and doves, cover your eyes, you're not going to like the next few years!
Thank you to all the brave volunteers who brought us all together as a country,
and thank you to those of you brave soldiers who will fight and have fought for our country.
We are a free people because of your efforts. |

| I don't think you could go anywhere last night without seeing a candle burning in someone's hand.
I'm not letting them think they've won,
If they think it's over,
I'll keep this going til the end,
This has only just begun

| The Mrs. and I were out on our porch last night at 7 pm with our candles. Surpringly, we seemed to be the only ones in our neighborhood that bothered to do this.
While we were sitting there, two young children ran down our street and I said to the Mrs. how I wished I was that age again right about now. They really don't understand the full impact of this all and don't have to deal with the pain like we do.
We have to fight so these children can grow up in a safe and free society.

| It's good that Band of Brothers is on during this whole thing.
Anyone who hasn't checked it out, I urge you to do so. It will now have an extra poignancy that it didn't have even last week.
Watch that show and see what those young men of the "Greatest Generation" did to ensure the freedom that we enjoy today.
I am confident that our men and women in uniform will do the same this time around.
Thank you to all the brave volunteers who brought us all together as a country,
and thank you to those of you brave soldiers who will fight and have fought for our country.
