Rather than post the entire news story, I only reprinted the important details:

The boy, who is 7 months old, has been diagnosed with cutaneous anthrax, the form of the disease contracted when anthrax spores come into contact with cuts or scratches on the skin.

The child visited the ABC newsroom in New York sometime in the past three weeks, most likely Friday, Sept. 28. The baby is being treated with antibiotics and is expected to recover, a government official says.

And I know what you're thinking: Oh, another news thread... well, this is one of the more shocking anthrax cases to date.

This case goes to show you that anyone can get it. The kid was just visiting.

I doubt it's those "bastards". Chemically created Anthrax has been around for awhile. This time, our homegrown coalitions are finally able to use it while having another group held liable. Don't be surprised if a little group of McVeigh's are out there or are you naive enough to think he was all alone?

Does anyone else think the media is causing all of these anthrax cases? Every time they report a new case it is front page headlines on all the newspapers and newsreports on it around the clock.

It just seems, the more the media reports it, the more cases of Anthrax there will be. I think it is sick and twisted people in our country who are doing this who just feed off of the publicity.
