| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | I started putting up my Hallowen decorations this past weekend, and it IS my favorite holiday, however, my wife saw me putting this stuff out and begins to tell me that we shouldn't put gravestones out. We shouldn't put body parts out. It's offensive. It's insensitive. After abit of "conversation", we made a deal. The gravestones stay. I built A dummy of a soldier saluting, standing behind a large candle with American flags. The body parts are down, but will come back out on Halloween, just for the day. I think that life goes on. PC crap is just out of control. It's part of the season. It's not directed toward the events that happened, I put out the same things every year. What do you think? | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Feb. 01 | I always loved Halloween, it's one of the only holidays (along with Xmas) that makes for good decorating. It definitely creates a cool atmosphere, especially since you can be more creative with the Halloween theme. I believe in the Faith... that can save me. I believe in the hope and I pray... | O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Halloween is also one of my favorite holidays, I can't wait to have a house in order to decorate the hell out of it, but my apartment has cobwebs (the fake ones, not the ones from lack of cleaning lol), pumpkins and skeletons all over he place. I passed the coolest house the other day: they roped off half the front yard with construction line and had a pair of legs sticking out from the ground in the middle as though it had undergone a horrible accident...and a doll's body was also sticking out underneath a wheelbarrow. Halloween is supposed to be scary and there's nothing more scary than what's going on in the world now, but we all could use a little release. Good compromise.  We Have Not YetBegun To Fight NEVER FORGET!!! I'm playing mommy to FN Sluggo...hey, 2 heads are always more fun :) | ||||

Offensive is pissing on the victim's grave. Insensitive is blaming the people that passed away in the WTC buildings inconvienencing our lives for dying. Putting up decorations are not, so it's time to stop over analyzing everything.  There are 3 types of leaders and heroes. Some are born leaders, some are built from the ground up by experience, and some are the right people at the right time. Now accepting two recruits for the revived Armored Division. I remember when I was a kid, the most anyone did was a Jack O'Lantern, and some cardboard cutouts hung in the window. It's all in good fun, and I think most people will get that.
