| Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00  | I was just diagnosed as Bi-Polar Sunday. They got me hopped on 600mg of Trileptal (oxcarbazephine, twice daily). Does anyone else suffer this same fate or maybe something else? If so, what do they (the white coats) have you on and most importantly, how do you cope with shit? | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | I was diagnosed as a prick about a year ago. How do I deal with it? I keep my chin up and handle my business. But, then again, I don't have many friends. Oh well, people suck anyway. :) Besides, if it gets you good meds, who cares what they call it?

Seriously, I know this may sound like shit, but the talking you do in therapy helps a lot. the drugs are good and all, don't get me wrong, I've seen Zoloft and Prozac do good things for people, but talking with the doc is the best thing to help you get through this. | Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | Well, in all seriousness (ahem ahem) my friend was diagnosed as being bi-polar (or manic-depressive) or whatever and the medication seems to be doing quite the fine job now. He's on lithium (obviously didn't work too well for Cobain) and it really seems to be doing the job. I am quite convinced that bipolarity goes much beyond something that can be controlled by therapy alone just because the behavior is SO kooky. I mean my friend was calling people at 3am telling them what country he needed them to overthrow so that he could marry his princess (some girl he was stalking) and so on and so on. It's pretty sad to see mental illness totally change someone into a person that they just really aren't supposed to be.  Thank you to all the brave volunteers who brought us all together as a country, and thank you to those of you brave soldiers who will fight and have fought for our country. We are a free people because of your efforts. | ||||

Even so the drugs i am on for it right now are offering such power effects of emotional apathy if dual personalities were the case i would not even care to answer myself. | ||||
