O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jan. 01	Just a question, how many of you don't turn on AIM when you're online? I know that theres a few people posting right now that don't have it turned on right now. Just wondering why? I can't help it, it's like an addiction. Theres just certain people that I ALWAYS want to talk to when I can. Theres some that I dont, but I just ignore them. So why don't you turn on your AIM? A second question to this......What chat program do you use? I have AIM which is always on. And I also have accounts with Yahoo and ICQ, but dont use them that often.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01	I dont think ive ever turned my AOL IM off while ive been online. at the most if i dont want someone bothering me ill jus put them on ignore. I had a yahoo chat type thing but my accounts there got all fucked up. forgotten passwords, that sorta thing. Ill add a question to this that kinda relates, do u go online with other screen names so noone will bother u, or so certain people wont know ur online? Wealth is too precious to be entrusted to the rich Go to Foundry Chat, and talk to other O&A.com members

Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01	Yeah, I never took to AIM - I think I came from a time when it was considered even lamer to have AOL than it is now. And yes, obviously you don't need AOL to use AIM, but still... I'm one of those folks who signed up pretty early with ICQ - I'm a big fan of that... but of course, they're owned by AOL too. Sigh, can't escape it I guess. Thank you to all the brave volunteers who brought us all together as a country, and thank you to those of you brave soldiers who will fight and have fought for our country. We are a free people because of your efforts.

O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jan. 01	No Fez, it's not all about you. But my point is why don't you feel like it? Do you not want to deal with other people? Are you doing other projects when it's off. What's the scoop people. When I'm online , but my AIM is off, I'm usually hiding from people, or I dont want to deal with assholes IM'ing me. O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	my aim is almost always on if i'm online.its just a reflex, and i get really screwed up when the first little window on the taskbar isnt aim.i also always have on yahoo messanger, but thats just to tell me when i get mail and save my bookmarks.its been about a year since i've talked to people over it. occaisionally i'm off aim, but thats just when i want to avoid multiple people.if i want to avoid only one, they get blocked GO BIG BLUE! O&A Board Regular Registered: Nov. 00	Well the first thing I do when I log on to AOL is put my AOL instant message on away. To many people that I dont want to talk to anymore that know it. But then I turn on my AIM and its always on untill I get off the computer. To answer JJ's question yes I do have another name that I sometimes use, but thats not very offten. Psychopath Registered: May. 01	I usually forget to turn on AIM. When I remember, I usually get snagged by someone I have no interest in talking to. I used to use Yahoo and ICQ, but got weird instant messages on Yahoo, and only knew 2 people on ICQ. I had to create several private names after getting pounded by IM's at odd times during the day when I wanted to get away from the board for a while. I believe in the Faith... that can save me. I believe in the hope and I pray... That someday it may raise me... above these badlands
