I dont want to turn into another TeenWeek. ;) But here is a brief article concerning the future of his show. Personally I never liked him before his comments. His show always has the spotlight on his friends and not the real issues at hand. If he didn't have this show, he'd be another no-talent ass clown in hollywood.

The opinionated host of ABC's ``Politically Incorrect'' said his criticism of the U.S. military after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks has hurt his relationship with the network.

``Could we keep working together? Yeah, but there'd still be that tension and that conflict,'' Maher told Talk magazine for its December/January issue.

``They're not going to change and I'm not going to change. ... After this whole thing I'm not expecting to be here after my contract runs out in 2002 - if we make it that long.''

On his Sept. 17 show, Maher said: ``We have been the cowards, lobbing cruise missiles from 2,000 miles away. That's cowardly. Staying in the airplane when it hits the building - say what you want about that, it's not cowardly.''

Maher's words prompted Sears and FedEx to pull their ads from the show and several local affiliates dropped ``Politically Incorrect'' from their schedules. White House press secretary Ari Fleischer (news - web sites) said the remarks should remind Americans to watch what they say.

The 45-year-old host later apologized ``to anyone who took it wrong,'' and said his comments were aimed at political leaders.

it's really the network's decision. i read this but didn't really think it was worth posting but tensions are probably high and who knows, maybe it will go back to comedy central. it might make a nice companion piece to TDS though TDS surpasses PI in everyway shape or form

I agree it can. That is a pretty good idea. I hope ABC cans the show. I hope Comedy central picks it up, but I hope they get rid of Bill Maher. I don't think he is funny, plus he seems to be everything O & A have said he was. A pompous ass fuck, who thinks he is better than people. As far as I'm concerned he can start over. I'd like to see him do some stand-up. I'd love to see him get booed off the stage.

Who would be a good replacement? Dennis Miller would be great, but that ain't happening.
