The Gulf War is over. This is an internal matter for Iraq. Let them settle it themselves. We don’t want to get involved in another mid-east conflict. Attack of the Sudan , chemical weapons manufacturing site – Public Opinion, We should not be indiscriminately attacking locations with cruise missiles based on intelligence information about terrorist operations. These are not militaries or governments. We are wrong for taking these types of actions. Attack of bin Laden terrorist camps in Afghanistan – Public Opinion, This was a cheap attempt by the president to divert attention away from the Monica Lewinski scandal. This attack was totally unwarranted and is a disgraceful use of power by the president. Yugoslavia/ Serbian Conflict – Public opinion, The US should not have to play the role of world policemen. This is an ethnic conflict that has existed for 100’s of years. We cannot settle this dispute and we should stay out of their affairs. We cannot afford this war and should not spill American blood over this issue. Isn’t amazing that a president does carry through with action, but because it wasn’t an attack on our soil, nobody remembers and argues with his actions.
