| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00  | i'd ike to thank RF.net's WWFallon for bringing this story to my attention and he's realy a legend in the field. one of the pioneer insult comics and though he's old he's still at it best he can and it's pretty much a shame. LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Comedian Rodney Dangerfield was in a Beverly Hills hospital on Sunday after suffering a mild heart attack on Thanksgiving, which was also his 80th birthday, his publicist said. ``He is in Cedars Sinai hospital. The doctors think he will be home by mid-week,'' publicist Warren Cowan said. Cowan said the bulging-eyed comic -- famous for self-deprecating one-liners and the catch phrase ``No respect'' -- will undergo tests on Monday including an angiogram, a test that enables doctors to see whether any arteries are significantly blocked. The publicist said Dangerfield maintained his sense of humor when admitted to the hospital on his birthday, asking the staff, ``Who gave me this present?'' Dangerfield underwent double-bypass heart surgery in March 2000 and an operation in June 2000 to correct an aneurysm. The comedian's movie career includes films such as ''Caddyshack,'' ``Easy Money'' and ``Back to School.'' His movie appearances generally have mirrored his stand-up comedy persona, with Dangerfield playing boisterous, bawdy characters with a rapid-fire patter of one-liners.  | ||||
