| O&A Board Veteran Registered: May. 00  | Well usually this is the biggest topic of conversation around the watercooler because the games usually blow but this year's game was so good that they will be pushed to the backburner...well that and the fact that for the most part, they absolutely SUCKED. To me it seems that alot of companies just wasted the $2 million it cost to put the 30 second spot on the air. The best commercial of the night, in my opinion, was also the most poignant commercials I have ever seen. The clydesdales traveling across the country, across the Brooklyn Bridge and bowing in unison as a tribute to a skyline that was forever changed is one of the most powerful images I will take away from the super bowl. And I'm not ashamed to say that when I saw it, I almost had a tear in my eye. Very powerful imagery and a fitting tribute in my mind. Other commercials that were amusing were the daitek(sp?) commerical with the musical centered around a monkey with a tux on and the Barry Bonds commercial with Hank Aaron telling him to retire. Pepsi did not get the bang for their buck with Britney this time. Very ho-hum commercial but that bee-hive she was wearing has got to be the funniest fucking thing I have seen in a long time. Looked like a blonde cat landed on her head. Among other highlights and lowlights of the night...MIB 2 looks like the first movie, which isn't a bad thing. The more I see the trailer for John Q, the more I wish it would have been out this weekend so I would have had something to go see. The new Mel Gibson movie looks like X-files-lite but it is getting some buzz from what I hear. I now have another reason to hate ATT, for bring the term Mlife into existence. Now I know where my long distance bill money goes, to create annoying fucking ad campaigns. How long has, "a very special episode of Boston Public", been in the works and how much more better would it have been if it were aired anywhere close to when columbine actually happened? How the fuck did ally mcbeal have a child that she knows nothing about?????? Does anyone really care about the Pro Bowl next weekend? Why the fuck did I have to see Jeff Gordon, not once, but twice during both super bowl pregame and postgame??? Isn't Mariah Carey much better looking when she dresses elegant, as opposed to being dolled up like a cheap slut?? How fucking great are U2? and lastly, didn't Paul McCartney do a good job both with his pre-show song and also joining the gang for half-time analysis? and how about him and Terry Bradshaw singing "Hard days night'? very very funny  I am the game, you don't want to play me i am control, no way you can shake me i am heavy debts, no way you can pay me i am the pain ,and i know you can't take me | ||||

Hasn't Bsoton Public had like 4 COlumbine episodes already? I saw the trailer for Signs with a big movie awhile ago and did thinking it's Fox Gibson. Blade 2 looks cool. MIB2 didn't see the commercial but saw the trailer and Tommy Lee Jonesalways cool. As for some of the other commercials, check out the edition to my signature  "It appears my wee wee has been strucken with rigor mortis." Just like ferrrel last week and most of the media, they doubted the pats, by a very large margin, and on Monday they will be touting them and saying how great of a team they were. If he doesn't admit that he was wrong, I will never have any respect for him and make it my goal to expose him for the fake sports opinion that he is. At least Ferrel admitted to his misjudgement. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Bud rules yesterday. The Clydesdale commercial was unreal. I liked the other commercials of the guy trying to pick the girl up at the bar and asked how much and she kicked him. I like the how are you doing spot, and the guy told everyone how he was doing. The etrade monkey commercial was funny. I also liked the brisk commerical with the puppets. | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 02 | The commercials blew this year with just a few exceptions. The clydesdale tribute was great. I thought the trained Hawk retrieving beer ruled - that was hysterical when they showed it dive-bombing the outside cafe. The Brisk puppets were pretty funny, too. Otherwise, why did any of those companies spend $2 million? The MLife thing was annoying and the Boston Public ads just piss me off. Every time I see an ad for the stupid thing it's "don't miss a very special Boston Public...." yeah yeah yeah whatever. But what a game...hoo-yah  | ||||

A bunch of kids saying things like "i made a fake id for the terrorists" and "i made a bomb" Really BAD. and then they try to say buying drugs supports terrorists. Sure, the weed I buy from the grower down the road really helps terrorists. The gov't spent 3+million for that add and that was our tax money.....Man, the drug war is bullshit!!!! | ||||

On the bright side now I know I can get an AK-47 for $800 bucks and explosives for $1200. And if it's that price on a commercial, I can probably get them for less. That was funny. 2) THe computer associates was good.
