| Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00  | Apparently Fox is not going ahead with a fifth season of this hysterical show. Considering the fact that they have only shown like 4 new episodes this year with football pre-emptions and lousy promotion, how could one build an audience ? Anyway, several sites have been formed to send petitions out to FOX to save this show. I urge all of you who are fans to check it out. It could help... | Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | I actually hope that show gets cancelled. I've only watched it a handful of times becuase of things getting delayed after football, but I've never accidentally laughed during this show. Family Guy, well that's another thing. That's the best show on TV  | ||||

I always thought that Futurama, King of the Hill and Family Guy should be on the same night togetehr so that FR and KotH are pushed to official prime time and for the fourth show i'd either say The Tick but because that's cancelled I'm willing to substitute Greg the Bunny. | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | what killed futurama was not putting it on after football but putting it on at 7 PERIOD. no one's watchign TV at 7 on Sunday except if it's a) football or b) you're old and watching 60 Minutes. Takig Futurama from 8:30 and repalcing it with Malcolm, which I'm not a fan, hurt what could have been their best animated program. "It appears my wee wee has been strucken with rigor mortis." | Hanger-On Registered: Apr. 01 | Dear God Dont Cancel!! It's my third favorite cartoon following South Park and The Simpsons! The only thing that sucks about it is the timeslot. I usually dont get home until after 7:30 in fime for king of the hill which I could never get into, and on the few days I was home to catch it it was preempted by football or some god awful movie that had just been running on cable 4 time a day the previous month. Is it any wonder they have trouble with an audience.  | ||||

Cohen has finally gone on the record to Cinescape about the status of the show - which isn't exactly cancelled it seems: "We're in what is basically an unprecedented situation in that we have so many new episodes that haven't aired yet, literally enough episodes to run the rest of this year and all of next year...So we're not cancelled in the sense that we're still on the air, we still expect to be on the air next year. We may even have a few more episodes than that than the number necessary to run this season and next season". Will there be further episodes produced though? No - "I'm still incredibly busy working on the episodes that people haven't seen yet. The show gets better and better. There are a lot of great episodes that are still going to be on. Obviously, they are letting us go out of production which means we're going to lose all of our writers and probably all of our animators. In the event which is probably a long shot, but by no means zero chance that they do decide they do want more episodes down the line. A whole new team would have to be put together, which is a big task". So in essence if Futruama were to come back it would be in name only. It would be another Simpsons, a shell of its former self. BUT LOOK GREG THE BUNNY PREMIERS IN MARCH !!!! | ||||

(I didn't know whether to put this in Mets thread, or in Futurama, so I'll put it in both ) :-p  | ||||
