The sun glasses issue became a subject for jokes in the peacemaking headquarters, but all soldiers received the written order not to wear them. Anthony Marshal, the press-secretary of the British peacemaking force in Afghanistan said that the order was basically issued for Spaniards and Iranians, since those glasses “were not to the British taste.†However, despite the new requirement, there were two German soldiers on duty in front of the entrance to the peacemaking headquarters, wearing sun glasses. | ||||
