O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	As far as I am concerned this is my favorite site on the net. I never met any of you, but I think of many of you as online friends. This is a site where we share ideas, opinions, good things and bad things going on on our lives. We can talk about the show, sex, and absolutely anything that comes to mind. I am bringing up this question, because during this whole Don and Mike, O&A mess, I was viewing the D&M forum to see how stupid those people really were. Now, I see that it is a pay site where they charge people $2 a month. This board has many more people than that site so there is no comparison between the number of people who frequent the board. This is similar to the Napster situation for when it was free millions of people were downloading music, once it was going to be a pay site, everyone fled and it went out of business before it even started up again. This site gets me through the day when I am bored at work. This board has made me laugh, has made me angry, has given me a place to vent. However, if it became a pay site, I really would have to question whether it was worth it, although this is one site that I would seriously consider it. After 2nd thought ABSOFUCKINGLUTELYNOT. Froy and the mods have done a tremendous job with this site, but don't even think of making this a paysite. But they have said in the past that we need to click on the advertisers and that much money is spent on keeping this site active. This site has taken on a world of its own. Many of you have made lifetime friends from this board from board parties, etc. Wanted to get people's opinions on this on if you had to pay to come here, would you. I have only been on here for about a month (if that). Most of you have been on here for years and know your place on the board. I can see some of you saying, "Hell yeah, I would pay $5" (TeenWeek, goatweed, WNEWs GIRL, etc.). But I, personally, probably wouldn't pay for it. My only reason is becuase of my 'newbie' status. I just haven't been around long enough. See, I have a hard enough time making rent let alone a monthly fee to post my rants or my irrelevant / unfunny comments. You all make me laugh; hysterically at times, but I would probably miss you. "Evil will always triumph, because good is dumb"

O&A Board Regular Registered: Apr. 02	You ask a great question. The question of a making this a pay site is very deep. The idea of charging for a service changes the whole complexion of the board. Once you are a paid member you have a feeling that you are owed something for the money you pay. The mods then become your employees. Montani Semper Liberi

By that I mean, many people who can help out with computer problems, links to other sites that have certain radio stations online, clues to where to get cds, movies,etc before they are released.
