| You don't "put" anything on Napster.
When you're logged in, your shared folder is available to other users. They download directly from you. So, if you're logged in, they're on Napster.

| whackbag.... for one thing... I think the ID3 tags have something to do with it. These are the fields that come up when you choose 'view file info' in winamp for example.... such as artist, title, album, etc. Make sure these are filled in, I think that's how napster searches by artist and title. Another thing, I'm not sure of this, but I suspect that napster operates over multiple servers, so a search of one user on one server may not yield results of a user on another server.
Finally.... you will not get any hits if the tracks you are searching for are on YOUR computer. Napster is smart enough to know that you wouldn't be looking for shit if it was on your computer already, and doesn't bother pinging itself. I've actually logged on to a different computer to see if I could get my own original material to show up... sometimes I could, sometimes I couldn't. It's moody like that.
I hope this helps some.... most is speculation on my part, and from my own experimenting in trying to get things I have to show up.

| ClusterF - I delete every single ID3 tag, and my files still get shared...

heh heh.... do I look like I know wtf I'm talking about to begin with? In the words of Chris Tucker from Friday... "I was just bullllll-shittin!!!!"
that's funny cuz the only way I could get mine to come up on searches was by adding them. I dunno... i give up. good luck.

| I have had that same problem with putting O&A mp3's on Napster. The problem was the biterate. I downloaded dbPoweramp Music Converter so that the files would be the right rate. If you need more help email me.

| Also, Whack, if you used an MP3 recorder like RealJukebox, make sure they were not recorded as "secure" .mp3 files. Those types cannot be "shared".
