| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | Character actor David Graf dies By Dave McNary HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - Character actor and union activist David Graf, best known for his roles in the ``Police Academy'' movies, died Saturday of a heart attack at a wedding in Arizona. He was 50. Graf appeared in all seven ``Police Academy'' films as Eugene Tackleberry and had a recurring role as Col. Chase in NBC White House drama ``The West Wing.'' Other movie credits include ``Rules of Engagement,'' ''Citizen Ruth,'' ``Guarding Tess,'' ``The Brady Bunch Movie'' and ``American Kickboxer 2.'' Graf was a member of the Screen Actors Guild (news - web sites)'s national board as a Hollywood representative, the TV-theatrical steering committee, the new technologies caucus and the national disciplinary review committee. He also served as an alternate on the expanded national executive committee. SAG president William Daniels said, ``His kindness, generosity of spirit and ability to tirelessly work for the better of actors will be missed.'' Graf's other credits include ``Highjacked: Flight 285,'' ``Father and Scout,'' ``Roseanne: An Unauthorized Biography'' and ''For Their Own Good.'' He is survived by his wife, Kathy, and two children.
