US release had King Kong win. He turned and smiled wanly at the rest of the pub just in case any of them had heard what was going on. None of them had, and none of them could understand what he was smiling at them for. | ||||

Why did they stop? I think in the Japanesse version it was a draw because you saw King Kong swim off, but you heard Godzilla scream.... BTW, my wife noticed the whities whould all speak english, but the yellowies would all be dubbed over..... was the script done in two languages? | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | Dent, I too watched KK V G and if anyone wants to know the truth the only difference between the endings of both versions is that in Japan both monster's roars are heard but in the US only Kong's is so in a way it was a draw. and I'd place my bets on Godzilla. Speaking of Godzilla, the Huntington Cinema arts center is going to be showing Gojira, the original Japanese import with subtitles instead of dubbing and Raymond Burr May 4. As for the giant Turtle, any extreme MST3K fans knows that guy's name is GAMERA. Now for the song: Gamera...Gamera... Gamera is really neat Gamera's filled with turtle meat We believe in Gamera! I would have loved to have been on the set of that movie, I mean what qualifications do you needd to be the guy in that bad Ape suit, or the Godzilla suit? I wonder what the director must have been yelling to these guys to tell them what to do? "Hey Ralph, this time I want u to show more emotion when ur throwing that plastic model train at Ed(guy in Godzilla suit) and try to look dissapointed when you fall after Ed kicks you again." It's just stupid things one wonders about, but it was just too funny not to. Wouldn't have been funny if the guy in the King Kong suit turned out to be a famous actor of today? Maybe Steve Martin may have started his career that way... Things that make u go hmmmm? "Kyle, I'm just a stupid piece of crap..."
