| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70  | Ok boys and girls, now you can stop IM'ing me if there is still going to be a game or not! First off, let me thank Fukmeboobs for coming up clutch to get us a field and putting her neck out. We owe her alot peeps, just so you know! GS and I are still team captains and we have core teams already in place which we will post in this thread shortly. There will be jerseys made up to those who are intrested and willing to pay for them. More on that later. And thanx to Amy for getting the ball rolling! Here are the details: 1st ANNUAL SOFTBALL GAME Bring you own gloves, softballs, bats. Alcohol is permitted at the park and on the field, so bring your own alcohol. Coolers are permitted also. There are no grills at this park, but portable grills are permitted so feel free to bring food and BBQ. Anyone if they want can bring a portable radio and girls there are restroom facilities so don't worry! Date: Saturday, June 16th Time: 1pm to 6pm Location: Veterans Memorial Park, South Plainfield, NJ DIRECTIONS: From the Lincoln tunnel: Follow signs for NJ Turnpike. Take NJ Turnpike South to exit 10 (sign says Edison). After you pay the toll just follow the signs for 287 North (there are alot of turn-offs so pay attention). Take 287 North to exit 4 (sign says New Durham Rd - South Plainfield). End of exit ramp at the traffic light make a right. You will pass a Mobil on the left and Quick Chek on the right. Go through 2 traffic lights, at the 2nd traffic light bear to the right onto Hamilton Blvd (over small bridge). Go through 2 more traffic lights, at 2nd traffic light bear to the left onto Lakeview Ave (over bridge). Make a left onto Elm Street (there is a small street sign that says Veterans Memorial Park with an arrow), park will be straight ahead. From Staten Island: Take Outerbridge Crossing to NJ. Take 440 West. This will turn into 287 North. Take 287 North to exit 4 (sign says New Durham Rd - South Plainfield). End of exit ramp at the traffic light make a right. You will pass a Mobil on the left and Quick Chek on the right. Go through 2 traffic lights, at the 2nd traffic light bear to the right onto Hamilton Blvd (over small bridge). Go through 2 more traffic lights, at 2nd traffic light bear to the left onto Lakeview Ave (over bridge). Make a left onto Elm Street (there is a small street sign that says Veterans Memorial Park with an arrow), park will be straight ahead. From Brooklyn: Take Verrazano-Narrows Bridge into Staten Island. Take Staten Island Expressway and follow signs for Outerbridge Crossing. Follow from Staten Island directions. From Bronx: Take George Washington Bridge to NJ. Follow signs for NJ Turnpike. Take NJ Turnpike South to exit 10 (sign says Edison). Go through 2 traffic lights, at the 2nd traffic light bear to the right onto Hamilton Blvd (over small bridge). Go through 2 more traffic lights, at 2nd traffic light bear to the left onto Lakeview Ave (over bridge). From South Jersey: NJ Turnpike: Take NJ Turnpike North to Exit 10. After you pay the toll just follow the signs for 287 North (there are alot of turn-offs so pay attention). Also, there are plenty of picnic tables right next to the softball field in case you just wanted to hang out and watch. I also want to bring up that you are to play at your own risk! But don't clutter the post with an excuse why you can't come. If you are coming post here and state a podition. Sean and i agreed to a 1 hour warm up and hopefully enough time for two games so if you dont get to play in the first you will in the second game. Everyone will play who wants to play. As sean said the core of our teams have been picked but we need more pitchers, pitchers are very important so please we have enough fielders and basemen we need more pitchers. Thanks to sean for the idea and to FMB for helping out big time now let's make this happen. But please don't make this a chat thread. If you have any questions ask sean or me. Don't ask who you are playing for you will all know soon enough. But even if you can't play please come there are bleachers and we need a crowd. Plus we need beer runners so please come it will be a blast. Field is huge and very comfy from what i saw. I think i'll take Joey Big Arms though i need the muscle on my team, I may give him my DH spot. Hey sean give you a used condom for Joey.
