| O&A Board Veteran Registered: May. 00  | well i taped the x-files last night and just watched it this afternoon and i gotta come right out and say it. it was better than the sopranos. i know, i know, blasphemy but its true, its true. the show was fast paced, had a lot of action, a death of a major character that was important to the show when he was around and a surprise ending that, if not everyone was watching the sopranos last night, people would be talking about. it threw me for a loop i had to say because i never expected it. i wont ruin it for everyone who hasnt seen it but the show was very well done. its about time carter made this show as good as it was before the movie was made. lets hope this is a sign of things to come:) you know how hard it can be the way things are going they're gonna crucify me-john lennon | ||||

| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | I agree Face. As I said in the Sopranos thread Duchovney leaving for half the episodes actually helped the show. Last season he found out about his sister, etc. What more could the show do? Having a search for Mulder and an additional major character who was actually interesting gave this season something the last two seasons didn't really have. I was shocked about who died since he was one of my favorite characters and I wanted back for the second movie (of course with Carter, who knows). And I agree, they seemed to pack 2 hours worth of substance in a less than 1 hour block while Sopranos seemed to stretch 30 minutes into 1 hour. The more I think about this episode, the more I like it. And the end of this episode was far more satisfying than the end of Sopranos, I mean when the person killed from Sopranos is killed 24 minutes in you expect someone else to die in the 30+ minutes. I hope the Buffy season and WB series finale/100 episode doesn't disappoint. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Oh my god! I wasn't the only one yelling "NO!!!!" when he died? I was so upset! It was great! Although, I think they're setting us up for a new X-files team in Dogget and the new woman whose name escapes me at the moment. The end BLEW! The very last scene made me realize we won't be seeing Mulder anymore now that they've done what Soprano's can't- tied up all the story lines we want tied up. What a great run. I love that show. | ||||
