| O&A Board Regular Registered: Nov. 00 | No, seph. Just trying to blow some cool air on the smoldering embers of the board. For those that don't know, this movie was funded by Universal Studios in exchange for Zombies soundtrack work on a couple of films, an album based on the old black & white Frankenstein, and a haunted house he designed in California. However, when it the film was finished, Universal execs viewed it and decided it was not the type of movie they wanted to distribute. They said they would only be willing to distribute if it was heavily edited down to a PG-13 rating. Instead of ruining Zombie's vision, they released him from the distribution contract and gave him permission to shop the movie around. So, currently, Zombie is looking for a distributor with the guts to put this movie out. We're having creative differences. I'm creative, you're different. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Nov. 00 | I haven't heard anything definite about a 4th Crow movie. (3 was direct to video. Not bad, but not great). The only rumor I heard was it was going to be based on the book "Crow: Lazurus" which I found almost unreadable. We're having creative differences. I'm creative, you're different. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | I don't think he's involved with the Crow movie anymore...I think they decided to go in a different direction--read that somewhere a while ago What a great movie, one that actually may scare me! One of the best things he did was to just hire nameless actors = lots of victims :) that's the only way to revitalize the genre by getting it out of the whole "teen horror comedy" crap BTW, Strangeland wasn't that bad  | ||||
