Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | I am not a complete tool. I tried their site and www.driversguide.com Niether had it. And plus won't free dsl be faster than a 56k dail-up?

Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | you get what you pay for. if it's free, don't expect much. it may be better than dial-up, but is it worth dealing with all the advertisements that are sure to come with it? as far as drivers for the modem, I'm going to assume it's a usb modem. in that case, it should work from Plug-N-Pray. I will admit however, that drivers for obscure shit are next to impossible to find. chances are the company that sold it didn't make it, so you may have to look for a driver by a different company. good luck! now go get a job, and pay for your ISP, it's the only way to get a decent reliable connection.

Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | Nope, is is an ADSL modemo that connects to an ethernet card or router. Right now it is on my router, but I am going to try if windows can find it and install the drivers if I put it into my etherent card instead of the router

Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | If you have the router between the modem and the computer, it may be a router driver issue. I have installed this set-up before, If you need help IM or email me. apodted by my crackdaddy, Fez as of 5/17. Damn, this school takes a long time.

Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | First: Hey, Kid, diggin' the new sig. Second: MST3KLD, you've seen my dialup, right? Yahoo BlueLight, when used with a good modem, can really scream, well, for a 56k. Nobody uses it anymore, so they have all these dialup numbers, with only a few people connected to each. Of course, I hacked the banners so my connections isn't clogged by them anymore, but Bluelight is still a good dialup option. Not, if you're goning for free DSL, as per the Kid, you get what you pay for. It'll be a DSL connection, but with having to download new banners every minute, it'll get bogged down. My head hurts. Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | Okay, I'm back again. I remember I needed a new ethernet card, and PCI ethernet cards for the Mac are hella expensive. So what I did was I bought a Some-Peice-Of-Shit-Company $20 10/100 BaseT card. Now this was a PC only card... or was it? I found out what the card's design was based on, and downloaded the Mac drivers for that particular chipset. Boom - Fast ethernet. Moral of this story? Crach that bitch open, jot down any important looking numbers, and search the net for info on that chipset. Might work. My head hurts.
